Steven was afraid for the Diamonds to have arrived. He knew they would probably take Spinel back. He didn't want that, and he hoped she wouldn't come out of the door. "Hey, is that the Diamonds?" Anddd, that was Spinel. Steven frowned. "Yes. It is." He had no choice but to go closer and conversate with them. He had to know what they wanted. Steven stood before the ship, and the Diamonds emerged from their bubble. Spinel was behind Steven, fearing the Authority just as much as he was. They shown themselves, and White Diamond looked down at the two. "I know I wasn't that quick, but after hearing that you snuck Spinel out and you didn't tell me and you told these two," she pointed to the unsettled-looking Diamonds, Blue and Yellow, "which was very irresponsible, caused me to come here to take Spinel back." Steven gasped lightly, "No! She deserves her freedom, and you can't keep her locked up in a kingdom!" He exclaimed, standing up for Spinel. It wasn't supposed to be like this. He loved Spinel now and he couldn't just let her go like Pink would've if she were in this situation. White balled her hands into fists. "She wants to live with us! Don't you, Spinel?" Spinel looked afraid to say she wasn't, but she didn't want to lie and say she did. "I.. I don't know.." She mumbled. "What did you just say?" White Diamond said, louder than her last sentence was. "I.." Spinel teared up, she didn't want to be in this. She just wanted them to go away. However, she knows that won't happen. Steven raised his voice to WD, "You're scaring her! She doesn't want to live with forceful gems like you, and I thought you all have improved from your old ways, but it seems you all still are selfish and rude!" She stared down at him, her eyes filling with rage. "Fine.. You won't let us have her. I'll just TAKE her!" White grabbed Spinel and she yelped, stretching out her arms and wrapping them around Steven's arms, so that they couldn't pull her away. "White Diamond, no!" The Diamond pryed Steven out of Spinel's grasp. She broke into a cry, "Steven, help!" Steven was thinking of something to do, but there's nothing he could do. "Spinel!" Yellow Diamond sighed, "White Diamond, you don't have to do this." White snapped at her, "Yes, I do!" Blue remained silent and.. rather upset. Steven shed a few tears, "Don't hurt her!" "Oh, I'm not going to hurt her, Starlight. We will take care of her, you don't have to help." Steven felt powerless and worthless, he couldn't even save the one gem he loved the most. He was going to do all he could to save her. He would do it even if it caused his shattering or a corruption or.. anything! He rather keep her alive than himself. The Diamonds began to leave, Spinel included. "Don't worry, Steven! She's in very safe hands.."
