"27.. 28.. 29.. 30! Ready or not, here I come!" Steven liked playing childish games with Spinel, since Spinel never got to play many childish games since 6000 years of her life was spent in one exact spot. Spinel was hiding under Steven's bed, quietly chuckling to herself. He looked around the house. Steven didn't look anywhere outside, because they agreed on not going out of the Beach House for this game. He looked under the couch in the living room, around the kitchen, almost everywhere, just to sum it up. The last room he looked in was his own. "Spinelllll, where are you? I can't find you!" She wouldn't fall for this trick, it would lead him right to her hiding spot. He looked around his room, including in the drawers, which is quite odd. After 2 more minutes of searching, it came to him. "Aha! I've got it!" He turned around, towards his door. "Tanner! Come here, boy!" The dog came running, and it sat at Steven's feet. "Amethyst has been training you, and so have I! Can you sniff out Spinel, Tanner?" He put the pillow that Spinel usually rests her head on before Tanner's nose. He sniffed it and turned to the bed, squeezing under it and nudging Spinel slightly. Steven put the pillow back where it was and watched the dog do his work for him. Spinel chuckled, "Stop, you furry demon! Your nose is wet!" Steven said from beside the bed, "Found you." She widened her eyes, "Whoops, said that louder than I thought." Spinel came out from under the bed and gave a giggle. "I want to play again!" Tanner popped from under the bed and barked. "Well, maybe we can get a ball from the store to play with Tanner." Spinel thought for a moment and smiled, "Alright!" She held Stevens hand as the two of them headed for the door. The dog followed both of them, but Steven told him to sit and stay. Tanner obeyed and they continued outside. "Do you have that currency on you that allows you to get stuff?" Spinel asked. "I do," Steven replied. They both got into his car as Steven started the engine and reversed out of the house's "driveway". He put the car back into the drive gear and continued on to the pet shop.
[ Once There.. 💔 ]
Spinel and Steven studied the store, looking at toys and food and all of the other items available to purchase. Steven found a red ball with a little drawing of a bone on it. He smiled and grabbed it, walking to the counter with Spinel to buy it. "Here you go, ma'am!" He handed the cashier the ball and she scanned it, telling him the price of the ball. He got out his wallet, handing the cashier $1.35. "Thank you, sir. Have a good day!" Steven said, "You too!", before exiting with Spinel and the new toy.
[ I'm Lazy // when they're back.. 💔 ]
They got out of the car, heading inside with the ball. "Tanner, look! A ball!" The dog barked eagerly, he wanted the ball. "Gooo.. Fetch!" Steven threw it at a seperate direction, watching Tanner chase after it. Spinel chuckled. But then, suddenly, the sound of something large and metal hitting the Earth arose, and it shook the Beach House. Steven ran outside and gave a slight frown,
