Journey Man
Born on a council estate, to a life of limited opportunity.
He grew up fast, in school he was just a number, to escape he craved an opportunity.
He needed to break free and find a life of adventure beyond the boundaries of the estate.
Without further education, the only job he could get was as a construction labourer on the new estate.
Talked his way into a job as a scaffolder, told the gaffer he had no fear heights, be more scared of a tiny spider.
The gaffer laughed at his happy go lucky manner, that will be the least of your problems son and nicknamed him, spider.
On his first day, he climbed to the top of the scaffold and stood boldly with arms outstretched.
The thoughts of new and wonderous adventures were forming and into his mind new and adventurous neurons are etched.
