Katherine's POV:

"You're out of danger but you need to rest for now. In my opinion, you should not hurry; stay here for few days until you're fully recover." Doctor said to Darwin "Sure, Doctor. Thank you." I agreed.

"No way! We need to leave right now and I'm just fine Kathie. We are not safe alone in this condition; we need to reach to the nearest police station. I know your fracture has come out but your foot is still not fully recovered and I don't think I can fight with dozens of people alone in this condition." Darwin panicked.

"Darwin relax. I don't think Adam can find us here and plus, don't you worry about our safety. Here there is no network so I will go to the nearest phone booth and contact Police Officer. They will reach to us in no time. Moreover, Omer also went to bring us help so I'm sure Adam and his men are hiding themselves somewhere." I assured him but his face was still tensed.

I tried to read his face and then realized that it was because I mentioned Omer and he was thinking about my relationship with him.

I pursed my lips before talking to him about Omer.

He looked in space and was busy in thoughts.

"You're thinking about my relationship with Omer, right?" I pulled his chin towards myself and asked.

He nodded innocently.

"Darwin, going with Omer was my rash decision. I did that because I wanted to keep you away. It was getting hard to resist the feelings which I was hiding even from myself. But now I have realized my roots. No matter how much we hurt each other, we will end up together. I now have believed on this. And don't worry about Omer, I'll talk to him. I know he will understand me. " I said with determination.

"Katherine." He was speechless.

"You mean to say that we are now?" He looked at me with stars in his eyes.

I said nothing, just smiled and smashed my lips on his'. He was first taken aback but soon he melted down under my lips. We kissed softly, promising each other untold stories. He nibbled my lower lip, asking for the entrance which I gave gladly.

I felt complete and loved. The fire which was burning inside me for those three years had finally settled down. I felt happy by letting go of my grudge, anger, hatred and wrath.

That was the first time when I met Darwin genuinely after he left me in our childhood. I felt like we were continuing our life after eight meaningless years.

"I love you. I love you so much." He mumbled.

"I love you too. Welcome back to your home." I smiled and pecked his lips again.

He hugged me and inhaled my scent from the crook of my neck.

"Finally." He smiled and placed a soft kiss on my neck.

"Darwin, drink this soup, now." I forced him. One day passed away and we were waiting for the Police to come and rescue us.

"This is terrible." He complaint and pushed my hand again.

"Darwin, open your mouth or else I will spill this whole bowl of soup on you." I warned.

He frowned but then drank the whole bowl without uttering a word.

"Good boy." I smiled and ruffled his hair.

"You are taking too much advantage of my condition." He grumbled and combed his hair with his fingers.

"I love your helplessness." I laughed and teased.

I turned around to put the bowl on the table when Darwin caught me off guarded and God knows when he sat up but he pulled me into him from behind.

"Darwin, what are you doing?" I blushed.

"I'm still strong enough to handle you, Sunshine." He whispered in my ear.

"Darwin, someone will come, leave me." I tried to free myself because I was losing my control.

"There is no one except that old doctor and we both know that he is not at home right now." He nibbled my ear and said.

"Darwin." A moan escaped my lips.

He tightened his grip on my waist and pulled me closer to him before pushing my hair behind to get an access to my neck. Starting his kisses from my ears, he went down to my neck then collar bone. Suddenly he loosened his grip from my waist and turned me around. He cupped my cheeks and placed a light kiss on the corner of my lips which only increased my hunger to kiss him. He was teasing me with brushing his lips on mine when I grabbed his face and smashed our lips together.

**************

"Both of you look good and perfect for each other." Dr. Tankut said and admired us.

We were sitting on the bench, in his garden and waiting for the Inspector who informed us that they were just a mile away.

"Thank you Doctor." I said and smiled at Darwin when he placed his hand around my arms and pulled me closer to him.

He was trying his way best to keep me close to him. As if he was afraid of losing me again. I loved each and every minute with him because finally we were away from all the negativity and problems. There was only the two of us.

"I could have made a video of your lady when she was pleading God for your life. She didn't leave your side for a second. She will not let anything happen to you ever. You are lucky to have her." Dr. Tankut said.

"That I am." He looked at me with pure admiration and kissed the side of my head.

"I fulfilled my promise. I told you that I will not let you go without me. I made that face which no one can resist and got approval from God for us." I grinned.

"I love you." He pulled my cheeks and said.

"I love you too." I smiled.

"I will leave you two love birds alone now." Dr. Tankut teased and left.

"I want one more promise between us today." Darwin cupped my face and said.

"What is that?" I asked.

"No matter what happens, we will not turn our face from each other. We will give 'us' a chance and if we learn anything about each other from outside, we will first tell that to each other and clear things out. I promise, do you?" He knew our cause of separation and it was visible he was afraid to lose us again.

"I promise." I nodded.

I heard the sound of vehicles from afar.

"I think its Police." I said and stood up.

"Finally." Darwin sighed with relief.

"I'll go and check." I said to him and went near the road.

I narrowed my eyes with confusion when I saw black cars coming in my way. Alarm ranged in my mind.

Adam.

Before I could turn around and run. A door opened and a man pulled me inside.

"Darwin!" I shouted before that man placed a chloroformed cloth on my nose.
