Katherine's POV

After lunch we had back to back classes. Unfortunately I had all same classes with Adam. He was with me for the whole time and was trying to have short conversations with me but I was least interested in talking to him. I was just listening to him and giving short answers in return.

"It was nice talking to you Katherine. Bye, see you tomorrow." Adam said with his signature smile.

"Same to you. Bye Adam." I waved him goodbye and hopped in my car to leave.

He is a nice guy and is loaded with money. Girls were head over heels after him but he didn't give them a single glance. It was quite surprising that a person like him was that much down to earth.

"Mom I'm home." I shouted and made myself comfortable on the couch.

"Lunch is ready Kathie." Mom replied from the kitchen and at the same time my stomach growled.

After eating lunch I walked in my room and took a quick shower and completed my homework. After completing my work I took out my diary and continued writing a story. A story about my best friend and me. A story about his possessiveness, his smile, his stares and everything related to us. I put the diary in my drawer and got myself busy in cleaning my room. Suddenly my eyes went to the familiar window. I smiled and made my way downstairs.

I took spare keys of his house and head towards door.

"Mom I'll be back in a while." I said and closed the door behind me.

I put the keys in the lock and it clicked open. A familiar scent entered my nostrils. Everything is still same except them. They are not here anymore. I sighed sadly and walked towards play yard. I sat on the swing when a beautiful memory came into my mind.

*Flashback*

"5 4 3 2 1. I'm coming to catch you sunshine."

I was hiding behind the tree and Darwin was trying to find me. A black colored blindfold was tied on his eyes. As his steps came closer to me, my heart started beating like a drum.

'Oh no he is going to catch me again.'

I closed my eyes in fear and was ready to be caught.

"Caught you." And there, he caught me. I pouted and stomped my feet on ground in annoyance.

"How on earth you manage to find me in a minute when I always fail at finding you." I said to him.

"Because I know your scent, Sunshine. No matter if you're hiding or you tie this blindfold on my eyes. I will always find you." He smiled proudly.

"Well, I know your scent too but I'm too stupid that I never thought about using my senses while finding you." We laugh on my stupidity.

"Darwin?"

"Yeah?"

"The game is over, right?"

"Of course Sunshine. I have won the game."

"Then why are you still holding me?" I pointed my eyes on his hands which were holding my waist firmly. He blushed when he realized but soon his blush changed into a smirk.

"Because I will never let you go." He gave me his charming smile. I laughed and wrapped my hands around his neck.

"I will never go anywhere in the first place." I gave him my own bright smile.

"Promise?"

"Promise."
