Katherine's POV:

"Darwin just keep your eyes open, okay? Nothing will happen to you." I said.

Luckily we got a lift when we ran out from the Pub. The man, who gave us lift, suggested taking Darwin to his relative. He claimed that he was a retired doctor and lives nearby.

"Sunshine? Leave me with this man. He will take me to the doctor. You need to reach to the police station immediately. Adam is surely behind us." It was getting harder for Darwin to speak in pain. He was trying his best to keep his posture but his face was becoming pale because of the blood loss.

"Darwin, don't be stupid. I will not leave you even for a second." I refused.

"Katherine try to understand the situation. This is not the time to argue." He tried to convince me.

"You never left me alone even when I was blaming you. You saved me every time, without letting me know. How can you even think that I will leave you in this condition?" I stroked his hair and pulled him closer to myself.

"Do you only want to make us even? I mean, are you doing this because I saved you previously?" He was on the edge to lose hope.

Adam cleared everything. Darwin and I now knew everything about what happened. It was then the time to consider our mistakes and faults in breaking our relationship.

After knowing everything, should I have forgiven Darwin?

After knowing that Adam set that trap for us, should I have given a chance to 'us'?

After knowing everything, should I have let Darwin entered in my life again?

Questions like those were in Darwin's mind too. He wanted to know what I was feeling towards him.

"Right now, I just want you to be fine, to hold my hand and say that everything will be alright and to keep breathing with me, ok?" I traced my fingers on his beard and said.

He nodded in response.

After a while I felt that Darwin was zoning out. He was becoming unconscious.

"Darwin no, no please. Be with me please. Darwin?" I pleaded and shook his face to keep him conscious.

"Sunshine." He whispered and winced in pain.

"I'm here. Here with you." My tears fell on his cheeks. He grabbed and tightened his grip on my hands.

"When will we reach? He is getting worse. Please, Please drive fast." I panicked.

I rubbed my hand on my face with nervousness. With his each wince, my heart was sinking. He was the one who got shot but I felt as if my life was ending.

I wanted to shout at him, hate him, and fight with him for everything he did to me but right at that moment, I just wanted one thing. Darwin. To stay alive.

"We've reached." That man finally said the words that were longed to be heard.

"Help me." I said when he opened the door. We took Darwin out when the person, who probably was the doctor came running to us.

"He has lost too much of his blood. Hurry please." Doctor said.

"Will he be alright doctor? Doctor please save him. I can't live without -." I stopped my sentence and cried in frustration.

Darwin fainted because of his blood loss when we took him inside.

"I'll take that bullet out but you need to arrange blood for him." Doctor said to me.
