It was Wednesday. It's been eight weeks, two days and twelve hours since Neil was hit by that truck. The police arrived with medics fifteen minutes after the crash. The driver never stopped. Civilians had seen the crash and called for medics and the police when Neil didn't move. The medics checked him, Neil was still alive when they arrived. The poor boy was unconscious, but his blue eyes were wide in shock, but glossed over. His already messed up face had third degree burns, along with his entire left side, as he was dragged over the asphalt. His auburn hair was colored red by his own blood. The medics were sure Neil wasn't going to survive the first 24 hours. He did, but it brought a lot of complications. Doctor Vyso told the Coach when Neil arrived at the hospital that his lung had punctured during the transport.
The coach went to the hospital first, he arrived after Neil was assigned a room. The rest of the team arrived just a few hours after it happened, all except for Andrew and Léo, who both were passed out in the living area in the 'apartment'. All of the foxes looked tired and scared for their teammate, even Aaron gave a fuck this time.
Andrew and Léo arrived at the hospital after they woke up, hungover as all hell, but were there to support their teammate. Andrew stared at the door where Neil layed, fighting for his life. His boyfriend were laying in thag room, fighting, and they weren't allowed inside.
They weren't allowed inside before it had gone three weeks. The team canceled all practices to be there and support Neil. The press were crazy outside to ask them about why they cancelled all their practices, but the team were in no shape to handle the press.
The second night since the accident, Neil stopped breathing, sending the nurses in a panic and Doctor Vyso shooed the team out while they tried to help Neil. The doctor arrived two hours later, telling the team they had to put Neil in a coma to keep him stable while he recovers, making the atmosphere around the team a bit anxious. None of the foxes have talked to eachother for days, the Coach spoke for all of them to the doctors and nurses that asked questions.
It have been quiet the last few weeks. Neil showed no sign of waking up, his entire body still fighting to stay on this miserable planet. The team was a mess. Andrew stopped speaking again, he only stared at the bed where Neil slept, Léo was constantly high, to keep his head cool. Nicky didn't sleep, Matt didn't eat anything. Dan was oddly quiet as she tapped with her foot. Wymack were texting with the coaches on the other team they were meeting in just a few weeks, to try and get soemthing normal for the foxes to do. Renee slept against Allison's shoulder, while Allison stared at the TV, which kept reporting that the foxes have disappeared from the spotlight's eye since the accident, even though they had no idea why they weren't showing their faces around. Aaron sat by his twin, his foot barely touching Andrew's leg. Aaron's way of showing respect and support for his brother. Kevin was staring iut of the window, silently watching all the press that had gathered ohtside of the hospital.
The room was oddly silent. The machine keeping Neil alive was the only sound heard.
Doctor Vyso came by that Wednesday. She had a sad expression on her face as she watched the team from the doorway, before she cleared her throat, catching the attention to everyone except Renee, aho were aleeping. "Okay, Foxes, I have good news" said the doctor with a smile "Neil is almost completely healed, all there is left for him now is to take it easy when he wakes up, considering his lungs are still healing. He should be waking up any moment now. I suggest the coach will stay, while the rest of you go home amd take a shower and eat"The team seemed to be in a better mood hearing this, leaving the coach alone with Neil after the doctor left. Wymack glanced over to the small boy in the bed, sighing
"I don't believe her. You'll be knocked out for longer, i can feel it. Just rest, Neil" said Coach as he grabbed his phone, and went out to meet the press.
Neil was all alone now, deep in his coma.
His face was pink, new fresh skin showing though the scaling of skin happening on his face. His hair have gotten very long in the time he have been in the hospital. His hip bone was newly healed, and his leg was still in a cast. After about two hours of nothing, the burses decided to take him off the machine.
Neil was asleep for another month. Nobody knew why, he was healed, to the best extent. Doctor Vyso didn't know either why the boy werent waking up.
This stressed the foxes, as they had lost their match few weeks ago, they were too distracted, the press was up in their business all the time, asking for Neil. While Neil was in the hospital, Andrew and his gang took Léo with them to the furthest bar and drank themselves shitfaced.
Andrew and Léo were in a man's stall, making out with rough bites on eachother, Andrew dominating the situation, both completely out of it. Both completely irresponsible for their actions and what consequences those would bring later on.While Andrew and Léo were having their rough fun yet again in a bar's bathroom for the sixth time that month, Neil awoke im the hospital, scared shitless, as the environment around him were overwhelming. Doctor Vyso called Wymack as soon as Neil woke, and he arrived shortly to try and calm down the panicking boy.
Wymack held a shaky Neil close, to calm him down. "Neil, calm down, it's only me, Coach here" Wymack tried to calm down the hysterical boy. Neil were sobbing heavily into Wymack's shirt. "I-I didn't see the t-truck" said Neil in a whimper, as his chest hurts. Doctor Vyso tried to calm down Neil and explain what happened, Neil was shaking so bad at the end, Wymack was scared he would break.Andrew bit Léo's neck hard as Léo moaned out. "Fuck, Andrew~" whined the striker, but before he could do anything, Andrew pulled back and grabbed his clothes, leaving Léo half naked and panting. "Holy fuck man" chuckled the striker as he took another hot of the joint he had stolen from someone. Andrew didn't speak, but got dressed quickly. Léo was enjoying his haze, slowly getting dressed. "Whatever people believe in really did a number on you, mister goalkeeper" a hazy Léo purred. Both foxes left the bar shortly after, to return to the fox tower to sleep. As they opened the door to their 'apartment', both foxes froze as they saw who stood in the living area.
Coach Wymack was standing by the coach with a short long auburn haired boy sitting in the couch.
"Neil....?"
