Chapter 8

Xavier (bonus)

(The day they went to the park)

All these problems and all these responsibilities are really giving me a headache. Right now I'm at my best friends house, Brian Hendricks. We grew up together like brothers, although, he isn't a royal. 26 years ago my mom and his mom were in college together and they became really close friends, then my mom met my dad who was the prince at that time. My mom and dad connected and next thing you know they got married and had me. Mrs. Hendricks supported my mom throughout everything and always stuck by her side, she was living in the palace helping my mom until she fell in love with one of the officers, and got pregnant with Brian. However, Brian moved to New York to attend NYU.

Now we were certainly in his living room drinking and talking.

"Let me guess your parents want to step down and for you to take their place? And here you running away from it" Brian stated and laughed.

I rolled my eyes "Not running away, just needed to leave home to think about myself and my future."

"Man don't worry about it you will make a good king and you will better England. What else do they want?"

"They want me to find someone so i could have heirs to continue that bloodline."

"Shit what are you going to do?" He questioned.

"I don't know you know every girl i meet they either just want the fame, to be queen, or the money. I never actually found anyone who will love me for me not because I'm the prince."

"You will find someone mate, just got to open your eyes."

"Yeah Yeah whatever." Rest of the time i was there we watched the soccer game, drank, and ate.

"Well I'm start heading to my hotel, I'll come by tomorrow mate" I got up and left his house, started to head to my hotel. I still cannot wrap my head around everything is going to happen for the next couple of years. How do i know that I'm ready to be a good king. Will i find someone that i could love for the rest of my life that actually wants to rule with me not for the fame, the money, or to be queen.

Midway of my walk i saw a figure ahead, coming out of the house. Once i got closer i saw that it was Cordelia the girl i saved the other day.

"You know you shouldn't be outside all alone" I told her.

She yelped out of shock "So what now your following me?" she asked me.

I chuckled at the question "Just because I saved you once now I'm your stalker?" The mere thought was ridiculous almost made me fall down laughing.

"Okay i know that sounds silly now that i think about it. But what are you doing here?" She asked me. 

"I was at a friends house a couple blocks down and I was about to head to my hotel. How come you outside this late?

She looked upset "I just needed to get out of the house and think".

I felt bad for her maybe i could help her entertained, let her keep her mind off things "come walk with me".  She nodded and we started walking together in silence. We walked for quite some time until she broke the silence "So Xavier tell me about yourself".

I was surprised that she asked me. Any girl that i was with they wouldn't want to know anything about me. "Well that depends what you wanna know."

"How old are you?"

"24, how about you?"

"I'm 18. So what are you doing here in New York?"

I forgot how much questions she can ask from the last time I've met her, "really persistent on knowing why I'm here. Well i needed to get away from home, i just needed to find something about myself". Technically I'm not lying to her i am here to find myself there's another reason why I'm here but she doesn't need to know that.

She nodded "Yeah i get it, I'm the same like i want to travel to get away to just find myself."

Straight ahead there was park I was about to ask her if she wanted to sit but she beat me to it "Do you want to go sit at the benches at the park?"

"Yeah sure, good idea because i really want to know you Cordelia" It was true i want to know this girl right besides me because she's beautiful and seems pretty cool. I saw her blush at my comment.  When i saw that i started teasing her "Aw is someone blushing for me?"

She blushed even harder "Shut up".

I started laughing and she rolled her eyes at me. "You know its not very nice to roll your eyes at people". She showed me the finger.

"So Xavier tell me about yourself, whats your favorite food?"

"I don't even know i have a lot of favorite food but i guess pizza you?"

"Pizza all the way." The rest of the night we just kept talking and talking which i really liked a lot because i got to know more of who Cordelia is. She's a pretty interesting person that i would like to have in my life.
