Chapter 7

Cordelia

"You know you shouldn't be outside all alone" Xavier said.

I helped out of shock "So what now your following me?" I asked him.

He chuckled at the question "just because I saved you once now I'm your stalker?"

I know it sounds silly but i'm a paranoid person now. "Okay I know that sounds silly now that I think about it. But what are you doing here?" I asked him.

"I was at a friends house a couple blocks down and I thought I could take a late night stroll" he said "how come you are outside this late?"

"I just needed to get out of the house and think" I replied.

"Come on lets walk together". We started walking in silence for about five minutes. It wasn't the awkward type of silence, we both were just enjoying the scenery.  I wanted to break the silence because it was killing me. "So Xavier tell me about yourself."

"Well that depends what you wanna know" he replied.

"How old are you?"

"24, how about you how old are you?"

"I'm 18. So what are you doing here in New York?"

"Really persistent on knowing why I'm here, well I needed to get away from home, I just really needed to find something about myself." I nodded, understanding his comment.

"I understand, I'm actually the same like I want to travel to get away and just find myself." Straight ahead we saw a park. "Do you want to go sit at the benches at the park?"

"Yeah sure, its a good idea because I really want to get to know you Cordelia." I blushed at what he said and why wouldn't I? He is a prince for Christ sake and he is making time trying to know me apparently. For another hour or two we just talked, getting to know each other and honestly I enjoyed myself talking to him. I knew I had to start heading home before my parents could get worried about me.  "I should start heading home before my family starts freaking out."

"Yeah, of course. I really like talking to you, here's my card it has my phone number on it you should text me maybe we could hangout sometime again. Oh and if i were you don't show that card to anyone wouldn't want that to go on online."

"Of course, I'll see you around bye Xavier" i waved at him as i left, while he stayed behind. As i walk home i started thinking about Xavier and the whole conversations we had, i was not expecting that, he is the most famous and most well known person in the world. I was arriving to my house already and I could see some of lights in the house was still on. I walked in "Cordelia James! Where have you been all this time?'' My mother asked.

My mom and my dad were sitting in the living room watching tv. "Mom I was just walking around, just needed to clear my head."

"I understand but do you know how long you were gone? Four hours!''

Four hours? I was talking to Xavier for that long? Damn time went by fast. "I'm sorry mom, I was just talking to Xavier"

"Xavier?" My dad asked all of a sudden.

"The guy who helped me that night, he was the one who found me and start beating Nathaniel up'' I said.

"Oh! what was he doing in our neighborhood?" My mother asked.

"He told me that some of his friends leaves a couple blocks from here and he was just walking down the street until i saw him. So we just start walking together and talking.''

"Okay pumpkin but please shoot us a text or something informing us that you are alright, we were just worried that's all'' my father explained. I nodded and headed upstairs to my room. I changed my cloths and put on my pj's. Went into the bathroom and did all my business and head towards my bed. Once i hit that pillow i knocked out, thinking about him.

Next Morning....

I woke up with a smile on my face, thinking about what happen last night. Me talking to Xavier the prince of England, trying to know him better. With everything that happened to me so far feels so unreal like first i was at a party, having fun and all of a sudden I'm outside getting attack, and then Xavier out of all people in the world come saves me. Call it fate or whatever it just still surprises me that's what happen so far.

I got out of bed and went into the bathroom to freshen up. Today was Sunday so that means I get a break from school and do whatever i want. I headed downstairs into the kitchen to see my mom, my dad and my sister already eating. "Good morning everyone" i said while taking a seat next to my sister.

"Good morning" they all replied back.

"So what are the plans for today?" I asked.

My dad spoke up first before anyone else "Me and your mother are going to my bosses place, he is having a little get to together today." I nodded. Now that just leaves me and my sister.

"I'm going to the mall with some of my friends" my sister added. Great that means I'm going to be home alone today yay.

We were all finishing up our breakfast having conversations here and there, until everyone had to go their separate ways. I did the dishes thinking on what i should do today. Before my parents left i asked "Hey mom, dad i was wondering if i could invite Xavier over?" They both looked at each other, whispering to each other. "Yes you could invite him. Here's some money maybe you guys could order food or something." My mom came up to me and put the money on the counter, then she whispered "Xavier isn't that bad looking maybe you two could have something there" she winked at me.

I blushed. Also figure out that my mom doesn't know who he really is. "Honey come on we are going to be late!" My dad yelled at the door. My mom chuckled, kissed my cheek and went out the door with my dad. I finished up doing the dishes and headed upstairs to my room. I was looking for the card he gave me, which i found and shot him a text.

Hey its Cordelia i was wondering if you wanted to come over, to hangout?

He replied after 5 minutes Hey I will love to but at the moment I'm in this meeting. I could come over in like an hour or two.

I texted him my address, and waited for him to arrive.

Two hours later...

I was in my room finishing reading a book "Born at midnight" by Christie Craig and let me tell you this book is so good. The doorbell rang interrupting my thoughts. I head downstairs and opened the door.
