Chapter 16

Xavier (Surpriseee :)

"That is not fair! You cannot do that" I yelled out "You told me that i had more time and you did this behind my back! How could you do that, how could i trust either of you now?"

Earlier....

I was on my back home to London to meet my family, so currently in the car with my driver on my way to the palace. I wouldnt have came home but my parents have insisted that i had to because it was urgent matter. Right now i couldve been in New York spending my time with Cordelia. Oh Cordelia, how i couldnt get her off my mind, her smile, her laughs. I was cut off by my thoughts when my driver informed me that we have already arrived to the palace. I looked around and saw the guards doing their jobs, lots of people outside looking at the palace, screaming and greeting, I guess they heard that i was coming back home.

The car already stopped in front of the entrance, i stepped out and walk through the guards that was standing by the front door. Once i came in i was greeted by my parents.

"Oh how lovely my son is back home!" My mom said.

"Hello mother" i replied and gave her a hug. Right behind her was my dad who stood there with a smile on his face. Once my mom let me, i went up to my fatehr and hugged him too.

"Its good to have you back mate" he whispered in my ear.

I smiled at him "it's good to be back".

"How was your traveling?" My mother asked. 

"It was alright made a couple of friends along the way"  

It isnt a complete lie but i couldnt tell them about Cordelia just yet because i will like for my family to meet her and get to know her. 

"Well son we need a talk about the future, many things are bound to change and me and your father want to explain everything to you." 

i gave her a confusing look "What do you mean?"

Both my parents looked at each other, communicating with their eyes. "You know you guys can tell me anything correct?" 

"I believe that this matter should be told over dinner, why dont you go freshen up and food will be ready soon" my mom said. I nodded and went my separate ways from them, while i was walking towards my room i looked at the surrounding of my home, there was pictures everywhere generations of my family. Along the way i saw the maids and the butlers, they bowed down to me when i passed them. I smiled at them appreciating them for doing that, however, doesnt mean i like it because they dont show how my family puts it "respect" they could get fired and i wouldnt want that for anyone here. 

Walking up to my room, which is basically on the other side of the palace, admired how i left things were they were when i left. When i arrived to my room, i laid down on the bed and sigh in content, if only she was here. The amount of time i have spent with her was amazing and i knew i shouldve just asked her out to be my girlfriend, but wanted it to be special. 

Decided to get ready for dinner, i started getting ready to meet my parents for dinner. Was finishing up till i heard a knock on the door. "Come in"

One of the butlers came "Good evening your highness, your parents are already in the dining area waiting for you." 

I nodded "Thank you for informing me". 

He bowed and left, closing the door behind him. 

I was on my way to the dining area, hearing whispers "....You better tell him, before its too late we already have to start soon" my father spoke. 

"What are you guys talking about?" I asked walking in the dining room. 

Both my mom and father looked startled when i spoke  "Oh dear Xavier, you startled us." 

"Sorry mom didnt mean to" I said, taking a seat next to my father. 

"Well son we have some important matter to talk to you about, me and your mother. Soon we will both be stepping down and you will be stepping up for the role of King. However, we cannot give you the role until you get married. Me and your mother are stepping down early, this year early." 

"Oh okay that really isnt gonna be much of a prob-"

"We have arranged a marriage for you." 

"Excuse me what?" 

"Xavier, darling i know this is much of  a shock but me and your father gave this a lot of thought and we believe its a good idea. The girl is beautiful and an amazing person and i believe you two will get along just fine." 

"That is not fair! You cannot do that" I yelled out "You told me that i had more time and you did this behind my back! How could you do that, how could i trust either of you now?"

"Now calm down son" my father tried to say.

"You cannot tell me to calm down, how could you arranged this marriage behind my back without talking to me about it? You know what its pointless arguing about this with you two." I got up and walked away. What am i suppose to do now?

Usually i dont write in his point of view, so consider it a bonus i guess?
