Chapter 13

Cordelia

Today is the day we were going back home, sadly. With everything that happen it was pretty fun hanging out with my family and Xavier. Currently we all were packing up to go back in town, me and my sister, my dad, and Xavier. To say this trip was confusing which is true after what happen being me and Xavier. What he said last night I just couldn't get whatever he said out of my mind.

"I don't regret what I did earlier".

I knew what he meant by that, he was talking about the kiss.

"Is everyone ready to go?" My dad asked us all.

We all said "yes" at the same time. We all grabbed the last of our stuff and head to the car.

"Hey Xavier" Leslie said "is it okay if I sit up front with my dad?"

"Yeah of course, ill just sit in the back with Cordelia" He looked at me while saying that and winked. I blushed not knowing how to react. We all sat in the car and drove off. My dad and my sister were up front talking away while me and Xavier were quiet. I was looking out the window minding my own business, but i could feel his eyes on me. I turned around and faced him and started a conversation with him "So how did you enjoy this trip?" 

"This trip wasnt like any other trip i have been to my entire life. But overall it was really fun, getting to spend time with you and your family."

"Well i am happy that you had fun with us, i also had fun especially with you there" I stated. I was telling the truth, with him being there it was more fun then i expected. And i was also happy that he came with us because like he said he doesn't do much of this and i wanted him to experience everything else before he has to take over the role for King back at his home. For some reason i started feeling tired maybe 20 minutes in do the ride so i did the most logical thing and lay my head against the window. 

I dont know what was happening because i was still asleep, i felt someone carrying me somewhere. Once i realized what was happening i started becoming fully aware, i opened me eyes to see who was carrying me which was Xavier. He was holding me bridal style and when i looked around i see he was carrying me to my room. 

"Whattt?" 

He chuckled "You fell asleep in the car, didnt want to wake you up because you looked so cute, then when your father noticed i told him that i will carry you to your room." 

We were already coming up to my room and he put me down. I wanted to say thank you but he grabbed my chin and kissed me. I wasn't expecting that after a few seconds of my shock but i start kissing him back once i started kissing him back that he deepened the kiss. I was already running out of breath. I pulled back, looking up at him seeing his eyes sparkling looking down to his lips to see them plump and red from the kiss. 

"After spending time with you for the past couple of weeks i started to take a liking to you, what i was saying when we first kissed at the camping trip i did not regret what happen because i want to keep doing that" he explained to me.  

I was stunned i didnt know that he was going to say all that. Did that mean that he liked me? What does this mean to the both of us? 

"As much as i want to stay and be with you right now, but duties awaits ill talk to you later" he claimed. 

I nodded right before he turned around and left me standing by my door. I opened my room door, looked around and went to my bed laid down and sigh in content. 

"Cor! Come down to eat" my mom called from downstairs. Once she said that my stomach grumbled wanting food. I forgot that we havent eaten before we left from the camping trip left there really early because we wanted to come home before the traffic got heavy. It was already 1pm so that meant it was brunch for us. I went downstairs to the dining room where my mom, dad, and my sister were sitting talking among themselves. I sat down front of my mother and next to my dad. 

"So tell me how was the trip for everyone?" My mom asked us all. 

"It was actually pretty fun, but it wouldve been much better if you were there mom" i told her. Everyone else nodded in agreement. 

"Yes i know darling but the boss wanted me to stay at work, to work some extra time. But i am glad that all three of you had fun."

"Well darling, it was actually 4 of us" my dad said. 

"4?"

"Yeah dad invited Xavier to come to the trip with us" my sister added in. 

"Oh! When i saw him come in i thought he just saw you guys coming up from the driveway and wanted to help out". 

"Yes he came with us, and he was an interesting individual i really liked him" my dad spoken. 

"He is a wonderful lad i say! Oh yes i have invited him for dinner tonight, i will like to get to know him more". I was drinking some orange juice that was on the table and once she said that i started choking and coughing. 

"Wait what?" I try to let out. 

"Yes your mother has invited Xavier over for dinner tonight, but he declined the offer saying he has some work to do but thanked us for the offer" my dad put out. 

I could see my sister laughing in her seat with my reaction, i guess she knows how i may feel about him. 

"Whats the matter Cordelia?" My sister asked evilly. I rolled my eyes at her i replied with "nothing". 

We all continued talking, laughing here and there when we were eating which was really nice and peaceful. This is what i like for the family to be together, where we could talk, laugh at dad's lame jokes. 

I heard my phone beep and i looked at my phone and it was a message from Xavier, it read: Hey ill be going away for a couple of days, maybe more, dont miss me :), ill talk to you soon.
