Chapter 14

Cordelia

It's peaceful being outside having to feel the sun against my skin, its refreshing. I haven't seen or heard from him since he left which was two weeks ago, and he haven't told me where he was even going. The amount of times I've messaged him (which wasn't that much) and yet he never replied, and I was upset. Even though we weren't anything or whatever but it still would've been nice to hear from him on how he is doing and that's it, just a simple text. I may be exaggerating or make a big deal out of this but i will like to know about someones well being. 

Me and the girls, Layla and Carly, decided to go to the pool at one of our friends Shelby's house. Shelby is the sporty type of girl, popular among everyone because she doesn't judge anyone for who they are, although she is very picky with who is her friends. Thing about Shelby is that her family is rich and live this bug mansion, and they got everything to pool, to large screen tv (like the ones from the movie theater), pool table, ping pong table, a gym, bar, and much more. 

 Now i am going to thinking about me with having fun with my friends and not him. All three of us were talking until we got to Shelby's place, we were already walking up to the front of the door. Carla knocked on the door and Shelby's mother Mrs. Morgan opened the door. 

"Hello girls! Welcome why dont you guys come on in Shelby's already at the back yard getting set up" she said. 

We all said thank you at the same time. We all head to the back yard where the swimming pool was at and saw Shelby putting drinks on a table. She didnt notice us come in yet. 

"Hey Shelby!" Layla called out trying to get her attention. She turned around and waved at us. The place looked absolute amazing, there were beach chairs everywhere, tables with snacks and drinks.   

"Come on ladies, lets get this party started" Shelby claimed.

We all were currently sitting on the beach chairs talking, admiring the sky which had no clouds.

"So anything interesting happening in your life guys?" Shelby asked. 

"Not really, just wanna graduate faster so i could live my life" Carla put out. I laughed at that because we literally have like one month before we all graduate. 

"I still cant believe that we gonna graduate next month, time went by so fast" i said. They all agreed.

"Now lets talk about boys, are there any boys in your life ladies?" Layla asked.

"Yeah actually, talking to this guy whose in college by the way, super cute, and sweet. He goes to the college i want to go to which is a plus, although i wouldnt say we are dating" Carla said. 

"Oooo la la la must be nice to have a guy, the ones that comes up to me is either a typical school jock trying to get in into bed or just plain stupid" Shelby put out. 

We all laughed when she said that because we have seen so many of the school jocks trying to hit on Shelby but she would never have it, like you could see the frustration in her eyes all the time. 

"But you have to admit its hilarious how they try so hard to get with you" i told her. 

"What about you Cordelia got anyone in your life?" Shelby asked.

"Uh yeah i do, however, i don't even know what is between us" telling them honestly.

"Oooooo tell me all the juicy details ma'am i want to hear everything" Shelby said excitedly. 

That's exactly what i did i told them everything about Xavier and how everything went so far, even told them about the camping trip with the family that he came to also. Once i finished the whole story they all squealed in excitement. 

"Wait what was his name?" Shelby asked.

"Xavier....Xavier Blackwood" i replied.

"The Xavier Blackwood, prince of England?" They all asked at the same (the irony).

"Uh yeah him."

They all looked at each other in shock, and they should because everyone loves the prince he is good looking, he is kind and sweet and i could just go on about him. "How can you not tell me about him Cor?" Shelby asked.

"I just wanted to see where things will go with me and him. Like yeah we been talking and hanging out for weeks i just didnt want to get my hopes high with him because what if this isnt real". 

"Cordelia, if the prince did not like you he wouldnt have wasted his time with you, from what you told us about him he likes you girl, even though I havent met him yet but i believe that Layla and Carla met him without knowing probably". 

We all laughed at Shelby's comment because it was somewhat true in a way. "Anyways lets just have fun with this amazing weather" Shelby commented. 

We all agreed and that's exactly what we did, we swam, played in the water (volleyball), ate, drink, laugh. I was having the time of my life with my friends, which i was really grateful for.
