Chapter 12

Cordelia

We were running through a meadow laughter erupted around us. I was so tired of running i claimed to sit down. Me and him laid down and watched the sky, how the clouds were moving, birds flying and butterflies. The scenery was just perfect.

"This is perfect, the feeling of the sun on my skin, being here with you. Its calming, it feels just perfect."

He smiled "Your perfect, love." He started to lean in, trying to kiss me. I leaned in closer and we were just so close to kiss. I just wanna know how his lips would feel against mine-

"Cordelia"

"Cordelia-"

"Cordelia wake up"

Who disturbs my slumber, i will destroy whoever that is. Did i really just say that?

"Cord-"

"I'm up!"

"Come on get up, we have to go" my sister Leslie claims.

Today is the day me, Leslie, Xavier and my dad are going hiking, which will basically last all day. To say i was excited was an understatement, because I could experience nature more thoroughly and because I get to hangout with my family and Xavier. Me and my sister was sharing the tent while my dad and Xavier were sharing the other tent. After what happen yesterday, i was in a bliss.

Flashback...

While me and him were waiting for my sister and my dad, we sat down and watched the boats driving around, people driving on the jetski's. I was looking ahead while i felt his eyes on me, i turned around and faced him and caught his eyes. He was looking at me so deeply and whispered "So beautiful", raised his hand and touched my cheek. He started to lean in to me and i held my breath. His lips brushed against mine, it was so soft.

Then the next thing you know his lips were against mine, it took me a minute to get over the shock until our lips moved in synced. I heard a tree branch break which made me break the kiss and look at the intruder. There wasn't anyone there, and looked back at him to see him staring at me intently "I uh-um I juus- yeah uh" I started stuttering. I didn't know what to do or say, did that kiss mean something to him or no? I was brought out of my thoughts because my dad and my sister started approaching us.

"Look who made it before the two of us, who actually made it here" my father asked.

"I did, then Xavier came in shortly" I stated.

"Okay enough chit chat let's go have fun!!!" Leslie yelled out.

End of flashblack......

I didn't sleep all night just thinking what did that kiss mean because I don't want to jump into conclusions from it didn't mean anything. "Okay everyone let's start this hike so we can come back before night time!" My dad yelled out from outside. Me and my sister left the tent to see my dad with a bag, probably filled with water and food. Xavier had the same thing but he also was shirtless let's just say I cannot get over that.

We all started walking, taking in the beautiful scenery. My dad and my sister were ahead while me and Xavier were right behind them. My dad explaining to us everything we see on our way. I wasn't really paying much attention just looking around what was around me, but I also could feel his eyes on me most of the time when we were hiking. "Why do you keep looking at me?" I whispered to him.

"What I cant stare at something beautiful" he whispered back. I blushed that man, the nerves.

"Oh shut up" I replied to him.

"Excuse me?" my dad questioned looking back at me.Oops I kinda said that out loud, although I didn't mean to.

"Sorry dad, it wasn't for you" I stated. He hummed in response continued speaking with my sister. I could see him laughing at the scene in front of us. I hit his shoulder "Stop it that was your fault".

"How's it my fault, I'm just over here admiring the beauty" he stated defensively. I rolled my eyes at him. We kept hiking for another three hours, explored many things that I didn't even know existed. Everyone making jokes here and there, which was pretty fun not gonna lie.

Currently we went back to where our belongings were, set up a campfire and eating the food we had.

"So Xavier did you enjoy camping out here?" My dad asked him.

"Yes sir, it was something I haven't actually done before."

"Oh yeah how come?"

"Well Mr. James I'm from the royal family from the United Kingdom, the next heir for the king and my entire life I have been preparing for that role and don't have much time to do anything fun".

I felt bad for him when he said that, to live your entire life fulfilling a role that is a huge responsibility that I couldn't imagine. And then to never do whatever you wanna do is just sad.

"That's okay lad, whenever you are here in New York let us know we could do all this type of stuff camping, go to carnival, etc" my dad said trying to bring up the moon.

Xavier smiled "thank you sir I really appreciate it, for everything".

"Of course always, anyways it's getting dark I'm going to head to bed. Goodnight everyone".

"I'm gonna go to bed also" my sister said also. Both of them head to their tents, while me and Xavier were still in front of the fire, admiring it. It was silence for a while, the good type of silence.

"I didn't regret what I did earlier" he said breaking the silence.
