Chapter 9

Cordelia

"Hey"

There he was, standing there in black jeans and black shirt hugging his muscular body, his gray eyes looking into my blue eyes.

"Come on in" I told him. For some reason i was feeling really nervous to have him here because my hands started to become sweaty. He smiled and walked in and looked around my place. "Nice home you have".

"Thank you". I lead him into the living room. He sat down on one of the sofa's and looked at me. I blushed under his gaze. He chuckled when he saw how affected his gaze made me.

"So what do you want to do?" He asked me.

"Maybe we could order some food and watch a movie or we go explore the city if you want". I could see he was deep in thought "I think food and movie sounds nice, i also will like to explore but I'm really trying to hide from the public at the moment".

"How come?"

"My family, the royals, do not know I'm here in New York, they think i am somewhere else. They want me to take over the throne and find someone to rule besides me, a queen. And if I don't find anyone in time they would find someone to rule besides me."

"Wow what are you going to do?" I felt bad for him i understand that he is going through a lot and a lot of worrying to do for his country.

"What could i do? I have to face reality and step up to do my duties."

It was quiet for the next few minutes .

"I know I'm not a royal or anyone really important but if you need anything like someone to talk to or need any help when you become king or even get married i am here to help, like if you need anyone im here for you, although we just met recently."

He smiled "Thank you Cordelia, it means a lot and i will take you up on that offer."

"I should probably order pizza for us then, you should look up movies we should watch" I left the room before he could say anything. For some reason when i am around him i feel nervous, i feel something that i shouldn't. I call the pizza place and ordered the pizza. When i went back where Xavier was at and saw him staring out.

"Xavier?" He quickly focused and looked at me. I gave him a small smile "any movies in mind?"

"Not exactly, what do you want to watch?"

"Anything is good i really don't care." After debating what to watch we already found something, already 10 minutes in the movie the door rang. "Ill get it". I got up and grabbed the money that was on the table and walked towards the door. Got the pizza and sat next to him. We started eating in peace while watching the movie.

Rest of the night we just hanged out, watched movies, ate pizza, and doing all that was really fun just us two. After a couple of hours he headed out saying he to take care of business. Once he left i head to bed and fall right asleep thinking of him.

When i woke up the next morning feeling refreshed. It sucked though today i had to go to school. I got ready and headed downstairs. Today Carla was gonna drive me and Layla to school. She sent me a text letting me know she was already outside. "Mom, Dad I'm off to school I'll see you later" I yelled to my parents.

"Have a good day at school" they yelled back. I headed outside toward Carla's car.

"Hey girl!" Carla said. She seemed very excited today on a Monday morning.

"How come your so excited on a Monday morning?"

"Well I don't know, maybe because i am talking to a new guy?"

"Woah woah woah a new guy?! You have to tell me about him, i want to know all the details!" I haven't seen her this happy before with any guy.

"We haven't really known for a while, only for a couple weeks. And I just know something is there between us, it's hard to explain. Anytime we talk I got these butterflies and I just want to keep talking to him and not stop." I understand what she's talking about because that is how I feel with Xavier, anytime we talk I get these sparks with him and I just want to keep talking to him without stopping.

"I think Layla better hear this, about you and this guy" I stated.

"She already kinda knows about it for maybe a week?"

"Wait so your telling me that Layla knew all this time and i am hearing this for the first time?"

"You cant blame me Cord, with everything you been through i just didn't want to add the stress onto your plate."

"Car, your my best friend! I dont care about what i been through or whatever i still want to be there for you and listen to everything regardless." Maybe it wasnt right to argue with her but that the fact i knew last about this hurts my feelings, I always tell them things all at the same time.

The rest of the ride to Layla's was silence, I was deep in my thoughts that I didn't realize that we were already at Layla's place. She was already outside coming towards the car. "Hey guys" she said once she got inside. We were all talking till we were already at school, parking the car. I got out looked around and saw people walking towards the school laughing, smiling. 

"Well here goes nothing" I whispered once I entered school.

Now we see Xavier and Cordelia over here getting closer what will come next?
