UOS Foundation Week Day # 1
Monday
On the first day of the University of Seoul Foundation Week, there were different booths assigned to different year levels.
The first years were the Marriage Booth and they should wear green shirts, second years were the Handcuff Booth with yellow shirts, fourth years for the Jail Booth with blue shirts, while the third years are to wear red shirts and were assigned to perform during the last day of the event.
For the marriage booth and handcuff booth, any student can sign her/himself or his/her friends up and pair them with anyone they wanted, but they're required to pay. For the jail booth, the fourth year students will announce a dare anytime they wanted and will immediately "arrest" students who didn't do the dare right after it was announced. Those who were caught will have to pay for them to get out of the barricade the fourth years did as their jail. Same goes with our batch's booth, handcuff booth. Of course, not all students contributed to the booths but most students agreed to pursue each for funds. These booths will occur through the whole week except during the Battle of the Bands.
Lisa, Jennie, and I waited for Jungkook at a bench outside the dormitory.
"What's taking him so long?" Jennie asked, irritated.
"He just texted that he's waiting for his friends. They're all coming with us."
As if on cue, Jungkook, all ready to be a photographer with his camera on hand, and four other boys walked outside and greeted us.
"Hey, girls. Sorry, we're late." Jungkook apologized, "Jimin woke up late again."
Jimin nervously laughed, "That's just because you four didn't wake me up."
"You're five inside your dorm room?" Lisa asked.
"Yeah. The dorm room we paid for is bigger than yours." Namjoon humbly said but Jennie interpreted it differently.
"Cocky." Jennie rolled her eyes.
"Are you saying something there, Jen?" Namjoon teased her.
"I'm not saying anything."
We all arrived at the main venue of the event, the grounds in front of the stadium, where the Battle of the Bands will be held later at night.
"I can't believe we're going through this again." Jimin said and looked at his friends.
Still the one with no knowledge about what the event flow was, I asked, "What do you mean?"
"These booths. They're the crowd favorite last year." Jennie crossed her arms over her chest, "And as much as I don't want to say this... They'll be crowd favorite this year too."
"Make that until our fourth year." Jimin confidently said, his friends posing like they're in a photo shoot. And yes, V also looked like he's posing, with his poker face and hand on his hip, which to me looked like he's just being impatient.
"Let's just take a stroll around." I told them, "I want to see the booths."
Despite the confident statement and poses from the boys, four boys groaned while V still hasn't reacted. Around the campus, there are different stalls for food, university merchandise, and other mini games.
"Hi. Are you Kim V hyung?" a boy wearing a green shirt said.
"Ooh! V's the first one to be married again." Hoseok teased his friend.
"And we've only just arrived!" Namjoon added and laughed along with the boys, V still showing his blank face.
"Sorry, hyung. A batchmate of yours paired her friend with you." the student said and held V's arm to drag him. V didn't react but he let himself get dragged by the boy towards a tent near the university stadium.
