Third POV

It was 1 month before school had started.

Meliodas and the group, well minus Elaine and Elizabeth were all chilling at his place.

"So why did you call us over here captain?" Ban asked, his voice laid back as ever.

"Yeah, I wanna get in as much summer time as I can before the next year!" Diane whined

That's when they all noticed that Meliodas wasn't smiling, and his aura.

It wasn't happy go lucky.

" guys... I really don't know how to say it, so here." He said handing ban a white piece of paper with an emblem on the top emblem.

The all read the note simultaneously:

From **** University.

Congratulations, Meliodas Wrath you have been selected in our top class, Business and Finance  due to your impecable grades and achievements, we are glad to have such a wonderful pupil to join our school.

Along with coming to our school we hope that you'll seek all our after school activities and projects fitting to your dream career, all paid for with a full scholarship.

Enrollment starts in late April which gives all our (potential) students sometime to think about the application.

Furthermore, if you have any questions or concerns don't hesitate to call or go to our website.

We hope for the best for you and hope to see you in Richmond Heights, CA!

"Captain... I'm so happy for you!" Diane squealed.
After all it may not have seemed like it but he was a a pretty bright kid, though he got detentions and stuff like that he worked his hardest in all his class to pass with flying colors.

And with a prestigious school in a somewhat of a cool area it would be a perfect chance for him.

"Don't you get it diane? I'm gonna be leaving japan, Liones high, you guys!" Meliodas protested.

He sounded so upset, yet at the same time he didn't.

"But I also do want to go, after all you know with my dad and stuff..."
that's right, Meliodas didn't have any parent that lived with him his father was off working in China, while his mother was dead, leaving him with his two brothers, Zeldris and Estarossa.

"It's ok, we get it too, so why don't we figure this out together?" King said trying to be encouraging.

They all knew why Meliodas was like this.

Not too long ago, maybe in 7th grade, is when they all became a group.

It all started when they asked him to be friends with them, though he didn't want to accept people after all people had used him to gain popularity and so he shut himself away well until now.

*an hour later*

So now here they were, the final decision was made.

Meliodas would accept the proposal, but he'd leave after graduation.

So that meant that they only had this last year of high school to make it the most memorable.

On the first couple of days of school~

They came in late cause why not, it was Hendrickson's class.

" ahem, care to explain?" He asked not amused.

"Nah hendy we all good." Meliodas replied, to hendy- I mean hendrickson's dismay.

They headed to the back row to see a silverette, sitting in meliodas's seat.

"Hey you thats my seat, move." Meliodas quickly spoke not thinking.

Expecting a typical feminine voice the person replied quite gruffly.

"No, find another one."

Believe it or not Meliodas was taken back, not that she said no but that she wasn't doing the routine;

"Oh my I'm so sorry, let me get up and move out of the way!"

Though Diane didn't seem to like that response, or Th e one that came after it.

At lunch is where he finally realized that he had to get this girl to be his friend, and that's what happened, and maybe a little more.

"Captain, we really do hope that you know what you're doing." King spoke, while they were heading over to his place.

"Of course I do..." meliodas trailed off.

Early April, after Elizabeth and the others left.

Diane and meliodas were heading back to the car.

"Captain... you haven't forgot about the paper have you?" Diane asked.

Meliodas paused.

Of course he forgot.

" I know this really isn't my place to ask but what about you and Elizabeth?" Diane added.

"I-I Don't know... I mean I really do like her in fact she's a keeper... but how will I tell her?" Meliodas responded.

" I don't know but you better find a way and fast, graduation is approaching quicker than you think." Diane urged.

As much as he wanted to shake his head no, he had to face the facts, she was right.

They were right in the beginning too, they all knew that he liked Elizabeth, and he knew the consequences of what would come later, but he didn't care he just wanted to be with her.

And now he had to pay up for this.

So when Elizabeth told him about what happened in America he wasn't upset, but he held a smile to to not show his true feelings about the university so she wouldn't take the break up as something more, so once he left he dropped it.

However all that changed when he saw her upset while leaving the school so he sent her that text and gave Diane the two papers.

One was the admission paper.
And two was an apology/ goodbye one.

He couldn't bear to see her face to look at her in the eyes and tell her goodbye, he just couldn't.

So he stayed home, and finished up all the paperwork needed to finalize everything.

"I'm sorry Elizabeth, I really hope you could forgive me."
