"Johnnie?" you called, walking into the small apartment you shared with him. After hearing no response, you frowned and walked upstairs, putting your bag down on the side. You walked into your room.
"Johnnie?" you repeated, he looked up, eyes widening in surprise.
"Oh, you're back, I thought you wouldn't be back for a while," he commented. You shook your head
"I told you I'd be back at 4," you answered, frowning a little.
"Oh, I- we need to talk," he stuttered nervously, standing up and walking towards you. You felt your heartbeat increase slightly - this was never good. He took your hands,
"Charlotte," he began. "We've been dating for two years..." he stated, squeezing your hands a little "...and I can't imagine being with anyone else. what I'm trying to say is..." he knelt down, taking a small black box out of his hoodie pocket "will you marry me?" he asked, his eyes lighting up in hope. You stared at him for a while
"Yes, oh my god yes I will," you whispered, shaking and starting to cry a little. He stood up, pushed the delicate ring on your finger, and kissed you.
