If I was a blade of grass
Alone in an icy wilderness
Would I cry for myself? If I had none
Or
If I had it all
And lost it all
Would I know the difference?Would I feel pain more with the sudden lack of sustenance?
Would I dream of loving substance?
Am I happy? Am I alone?
Am I okay?Is this how I should feel?
How do I feel?
Is this the right question? Why don't I know the answers?
What's the point of being an adult?
Why did I grow up? Where are my friends?Titans and giantesses
Towering presences
And I seem so smallI grasp the trail behind one and call the others foe
This one must be "friend"
"Am I alone?"I want to feel it
Be dragged along
I want them to look down
Peer at me
View my plight
Pity me
Drag my back along stones
Weep for me
Lose sleep for me
And call me a friend of their ownBut no one dares
I've lost all hope
But I go on and on dreaming of moreWhy am I here? Why am I alone?
Why am I not different?
Why am I so cold?In my perfect world
You listen to me
You cry and you laugh and we dreamThis place is warm
And the skies are clear
And I sing and you dance all through the yearsMy voice carries far
And sounds so strong
And is all of things I could never pull offI want want you to hear me
Who ever you are
Won't stick by me
Won't you bear my scarsTell me it's okay
Hold my hand
Goof off with me
Eat with me
Be here till the endSomeone is out there
And I keep going on
Knowing I'll meet you
And the crying will stop
You'll wipe eyes
Hold me in your arms
And we'll peacefully fall asleep until the dawnSo close your eyes
Hold out your heart
And we'll keep on moving on until our lives startDon't be foolish
And give in
Bear the pain for a while, and we'll all believe in the endI have a plan for you
You'll deal with it all
And with the weight of the world on your shoulders you'll face a fall
People won't catch you
Many times
But I'll pray for you
They'll come in timePray for me if you get the notion to do so
