People are both strong and weak
Sharing intricacies with the sun and wind
But sometimes they need mellowing
And to the earth are more akinHumans are complex creatures though
And they can rightfully show
Both their luster and their dimness
Under certain circumstancesBut sometimes
Only in the rain
Can they shine
And only in words
Can they write
And even with no wings
They can flyWhat if you could take an aeroplane
To someone's mind
Imagine the stories that
We could find
All trapped behind
Someone's eyesInstead, we must be diligent
Observant and watchful
Because to understand the intricacies
Of someone's smile
We must walk their walk
Of a hundred miles
