When I couldn't see the difference yet
I jumped upon and sailed
I searched and searched for hidden lands
Beyond where the saltwater pales
Finding creatures and monsters and krakens
I all at once turned tail
I hauled around my forward mast
And away from the journey, sailed"Could you give me a bit of luck
For when I lose my way?
I've lost my course a thousand times,
But still, you save the day.
"Once, I heard a story
Of a zebra, a horse and an ox.
It told me that one who doesn't bear stripes
Can be cunning as a fox.
"To get what one truly wants
Any act can be achieved.
As long as the jealous horse
Has the money and the means.
"The ox was a extraordinary thinker
And appreciated all of the arts,
But in his endless thinkings
He thought nothing of others hearts.""So why don't you achieve it?"
My father would stop and lay
His pointed gaze upon my eyes
And all but lecturing, he'd say;
"You are and endless thinker.
No horse my daughter is,
So find a way to meet your goal
Without losing companionship."And without losing his advice,
I trudge the ocean still
And not lonely,
Not jealous,
Not uncaring,
Not afraid,
I have yet to lose my will.I started out as the one,
And then expanded to two.
Later on the third appeared
And more are mounting still.I left the course before hardship hit
I learned the strifes of other kids,
And yet, I thought nothing
Amidst this mess of something.
I am only unbroken because there was no will to break
I was not taken because there was nothing to take
I had no will to move or shake
I had nothing
Inside, I had a bitter friend
Who called out everything when
I thought to reach out to others again
He said, "Do nothing."
Helping is lost
So is fate
