Divergent: The Flip Side

Chapter 7

Tris POV:

We arrive at Peters house in no time. I look around me, it's a huge mansion, so he is obviously rich! We walk inside and he quickly explains that his parents aren't in, but if we break anything, he will kill us!

In the lounge, we sit down in a circle to play some games. On my left is Four, followed by Zeke, Shauna, Eric, Peter, Marlene, Uriah, Will, then Christina is on my right.

"So, what game would you wusses like to start with then?" Peter sneers.

I reply, "Truth or dare is a fun one to start with, but you're going to get all of the bad dares if you keep acting like that!"

Peter huffs, then says, "Okay, we need a forfeit for not doing a truth or dare, any ideas?"

Will answers, "We should include two games in one, so have a forfeit that is based on something, like spin the bottle!"

"I like that idea" Christina smiles at him.

Four suggests, why don't we have to kiss the person on our right? We could use three stages, so that people can't keep passing dares like, kiss, pull and 7 minutes in heaven?"

"Good idea!" Peter replies, "For 7 minutes in heaven, the other person is in control though!"

We all nod in agreement, then Eric asks, "Can I start?" We let him start so he says' "Ok Four, truth or dare?"

Four POV:

I'm the first one to go, and I have no idea what an Eric dare could be like, so I play it safe and say, "Truth"

I see Peter snigger, but ignore him. He whispers something in Eric's ear, then Eric gives me a wicked grin and says, "OK number boy, what is your real name?"

I feel my heart racing, there is no way I am telling anyone here, especially not Eric or Peter! I look to my right and see Tris, her lips looking so full and kissable, the decision is easy, but I play it down. I put on a slightly panicked voice and say, "No way! I forfeit" The rest of the group looks confused as to why I won't share my real name and Tris just looks uncomfortable. I guess Zeke and Uriah were right when they said I had no chance with her!

I look around and everyone including Tris is looking at me expectantly, Zeke winks at me and I scowl back at him. I lean in and kiss her, it feels amazing!

Tris POV:

My heart is fluttering as he leans in to kiss me, as he does, I feel electric! I kiss him back and he seems surprised at this, but allows me to.

We are broken up by Eric clearing his throat and Christina saying, "Take all day if you want to!"

I feel the blood rush to my cheeks as I sit back down, but I can't help but glance over at Four every now and then. I have never felt that much passion in a kiss before!

Four continues the game by daring Zeke to down a bottle of hot sauce, then not allowing him to have a drink for 60 seconds afterwards! He is running around the room panting like a dog until he is given the water!

Zeke then tries to give Christina a dare, but she immediately forfeits to kiss Will! She deliberately gives Peter a smug look before kissing Will passionately. She dares Eric to spend the rest of the game in a dress, which he forfeits and kisses Shauna. She pulls away immediately, disgusted!

Eric dares Uriah to wear the dress, which he quite happily does, claiming it's an easy dare. Then, Uriah it's Uriah's turn to ask me, "Truth or dare?"

"Dare of course" I reply

He then says, "Okay, I dare you to sit on your crushes knee until your next go!"

I look from Four to Christina and decide that sitting on Four's knee is better than kissing Christina. To add to the drama, I stand up and walk around the circle. Eric repositions himself expectantly, and looks both shocked and hurt when I walk past him!

Everyone gasps when I plonk myself back down on Four's knee, I guess I do like him after all!
