Divergent: The Flip Side

Chapter 12

Tris POV:

I must be dreaming, his beautiful deep blue eyes are staring down into mine. His hair is ruffled adorably and his smile is contagious. His muscly arms are wrapped around me and my head is resting on his chest. It all seems too real!

"Good morning beautiful" he whispers. My heart flutters as I realise that this is not a dream, this is actually happening! I lift my head level to his, before slowly letting our lips clash. The electricity between us sparks automatically, drawing us both in further and deeper. He rolls me over, so that he is leaning over me, propping himself up on his elbows. I reach my arms up, and wrap them around his neck, bringing him closer to me. I don't know how far this is going, but at this moment in time, I don't care to stop. I run my hands down his back and he winces as I run over his wounds from yesterday. I feel so bad, I forgot all about that!

"I am so sorry" I gasp, pulling away.

He replies, "Don't worry Tris, you being here is the best medicine I could ever have!"

"I love you Tobias" I whisper

"I love you Tris" He whispers back

*A few hours later*

After spending the morning together, we meet up with Zeke and Shauna in the park, none of the others could make it. We walk over to them holding hands.

"So are you two a couple now?" Shauna squeals.

We nod in unison, grinning at each other.

"Took you a fair few years, but you finally got your chick!" Zeke teases.

"Just need to get yours now" Tobias replies, winking and glancing sideways at Shauna.

Intrigued, I ask, "Who's Zekes crush?"

Tobias teases, "Now that would be telling..."

Zeke quickly changes the subject, before I get chance to ask anymore questions, by asking, "Anyway, where did you two run off to last night?" He wiggles his eyebrows suggestively.

I glance at Tobias, we are both unsure of what to say, but Shauna beats us to it.

"No, you didn't?" She exclaims excitedly.

"What?" I ask in mock innocence.

"You didn't both go back to your own houses, did you?"

We both remain silent, giving each other sideways glances, so she takes it as a yes.

"You slept in the same bed too, didn't you?" She adds, trying to pry for more information.

"That's enough for now Shauna, but i have to admit, that is pretty good going mate. Less than 24 hours together and you got her in your bed!"

Tobias shakes his head, chuckling. "Not great when it's out of pity that she stays though!" He hints at Zeke.

Shauna looks extremely confused, but Zekes eyes go wide. Of course Zeke knows, they're best friends.

Changing the subject, I suggest, "Why don't we go and see a film together?"

"Like a double date?" Tobias asks excitedly. I shoot him a look, he can't be too pushy with them!

Zeke and Shauna glance at each other, before Zeke replies, "Something like that" Shauna grins a girly smile when Zeke isn't looking. It will be so much less awkward once they are actually a couple!

We walk to the cinema and the boys let the girls pick the film while they go to buy drinks and popcorn. Four leaves us with some money, so that we can buy the tickets. We choose a romantic comedy chick flick that the boys will probably hate, but it's a good date film.

We go in and sit in a line going, Tobias, then me, then Shauna and lastly Zeke. Once the film has started, it doesn't take long for Tobias to have his arm wrapped around me, both of us snuggling into each other.

About half way through the film, Zeke plucks up the courage to stretch out his arm across the back of Shaunas seat. We watch amused as Shauna tries to discreetly lean into his side.

I see Tobias's eyes glinting with mischief, so I kiss him. Partly because I don't want him to mess up Zeke and Shaunas awkward moment, and also because I just want to kiss him!

When the movie ends, I am sat in Tobias's lap, still kissing him. I pull away and direct his attention over to Zeke and Shauna who are snuggled together kissing too. Well I guess that went well for them too!

As we leave the cinema as two couples, we say goodbye, then Tobias and I walk back home.

A/N: So, how do you like this Chapter? Zeke and Shauna are together too now! There is lots of action coming up soon, so these chapters are quite short, but they will get longer again :D Thank you for all of your votes, comments and reads, this book is doing so much better than I thought it would!
