For Stacy, fitting in was always a challenge-so she stopped trying. In school, she was the awkward tomboy, the nerd, the outcast. It wasn't that she was unattractive. Standing at five foot six with straight black hair cascading down to her waist, big brown doe eyes, full lips, and a small dimple on her chin, she had a fair tan complexion and an hourglass figure. She was also incredibly fit. But people kept their distance because of her one true obsession: zombies.

When the world fell apart, Stacy was ready. Being a nerd had its perks, after all. She'd always believed that a zombie apocalypse was inevitable. Her parents worried about her as she spent most of her days buried in books. From her sophomore year, she worked at the town café, saving every penny and taking on any overtime she could get. By the time she turned 20, she had enough for a down payment on a house. Wanting to stay close to her parents, she didn't move far. All her life, she had admired the abandoned house at the top of the mountain. Its loneliness reminded her of herself. So, she bought it and fixed it up just as she'd always imagined.

It took a lot of hard work, but when the world went to hell, Stacy was more than prepared. The first thing she did was secure her own water and electricity sources. She had a well drilled deep into the earth, providing her with a fresh, endless supply of water, no matter what happened to the outside world. Solar panels covered the roof of her house, capturing the sun's energy and converting it into all the electricity she needed. She even installed a rainwater harvesting system to supplement her water supply and ensure nothing went to waste. And just in case, she had a backup generator tucked away, ready to kick in if the sun ever failed her.

The house itself was insulated to perfection, keeping it cool in the summer and warm in the winter with minimal energy use. She'd even taken the extra step of installing a greywater recycling system, allowing her to reuse water from sinks, showers, and laundry for irrigation.

The townspeople always avoided her. When she started building her fence, they couldn't stop gossiping about how she had lost her mind. The fence, inspired by Jurassic Park, was over 15 feet tall, made of the thickest, strongest steel she could find. Naturally, it was electrified, powered by its own solar source, and topped with rows of barbed wire. Even if the power went out, it wouldn't be easy to climb over. Everyone thought she was crazy. Even her parents stopped visiting, afraid they'd accidentally get fried on the fence. But Stacy didn't mind. She liked her space and being alone.

She spent her days learning martial arts from her TV. Every grocery run, she brought home extra canned food, preparing for any scenario. Her backyard became a self-sustaining farm. She had a small chicken coop with fifteen chickens and two roosters, two cows and a bull, four pigs, and a mini greenhouse for vegetables. The greenhouse was designed to be efficient, using passive solar heating and a hydroponic system that allowed her to grow food year-round. Stacy could live off her land indefinitely, without ever needing to go into town.

She even installed wind turbines on the property, ensuring that she had multiple sources of energy. Her goal was complete self-reliance, and she achieved it. In her home, Stacy didn't just survive-she thrived.

**A/N:**
This is the first story I'm writing, and I'm open to any ideas or suggestions on where it should go next. I know it's not perfect, but I'm putting in a lot of effort. If you enjoyed it, please comment, vote, and share it with your friends so more people can read it. Thank you so much for taking the time to read!

I have time to come back and edit this story and continue from where I left off. Obviously, it has been a long time, and I am hoping that the edits are for the better.
