"So you had fun?" Hestia smiled, mending the large flame of the temple. Today the two of you were at Zeus' home, taking care of the main hearth of the gods. You were helping her while telling her about your date.
"Very. Though, I didn't quite enjoy that pretzel-goop thing" You handed her more wood for the fire. She threw the wood inside, having the fire in the hearth and the fire on her dress grow larger.
"Yeah, it doesn't sound all that pleasing" Hestia turned to you. "But you also have detention for missing curfew"
"You heard about that?" You sighed.
"Just be glad you're not in GCA anymore. You wouldn't enjoy the consequences" The goddess patted your shoulder. You followed her out of the room. "Demeter would've been even more furious"
"I think grandmother is still furious about me leaving GCA" You muttered. Hestia turned to you, a small smile laying on her lips. She can tell that you were still saddened over the fact that your grandmother has not been speaking to you since the announcement of your removal. The two of you were so close before, and now it seems as if there was a large distance between you.
"Come, follow me" The goddess began to lead you through the halls of the temple. You've been to Zeus' home many times before whenever the king of the gods decides to throw a party, which is quite often. You, your mother, and grandmother were always in charge of decorating the temple with magnificent flowers. Zeus would always welcome you into his home with a giant bear hug that was nothing compared to when his son, Hercules, hugs you. Both gods are strong and love hugs, which is why you hide from them.
The two of you entered a designated room of the temple that held all of the vases that were ever created. The vases told the stories of almost each and every god in the pantheon. There was even two vases that told the story of your parents' marriage. One told your mother's version, while the other told your grandmother's version. In the end, you still don't know what's the truth. Was your mother kidnapped? Or did she go to the underworld willingly? You would never know.
"Why are we here?" You looked at your aunt.
"We're here to have a history lesson" Hestia glanced at you. You groaned at the mention of another lesson. You just had to sit through four hours of lectures back at Auradon before coming here, you were tired. Hestia chuckled at your reaction. "Don't give me that look. Tell me, what do you know about our history"
Sighing, you began to recite the creation story of the gods. "Before the Olympian gods and the Titans, there was nothing but Khaos (nothing). He wasn't alone for that long though, since Gaea (Earth), Tartarus (abyss), and Eros (love) appeared before him - which I still don't understand since Eros is Uncle Ares and Aphrodite's child and they weren't born yet"
"Yeah, don't worry. He's a complicated god. Continue" Hestia shrugged.
"Well then, anyways," You moved on. "Khaos then created Erebos (darkness) and Nyx (night), and after that, he was never seen again. So Erebos and Nyx created Hemera and Aether; creating the day and night cycle, while Gaea creates her husband, Ouranos - aka, the sky. They they then give birth to twelve titans, three cyclops, and three hecatoncheires. But when the hecatonchires and cyclops were born, Ouranos banished them to secret locations under the Earth. This caused Gaea to plead to her titan children to stop her husband by using a sickle she crafted herself. All of the titans were too afraid to step up to the challenge, but grandfather Chronos. He - um, well, - emasculated Ouranos and threw those body parts into the ocean and created Aphrodite. Disgusting. From that point on grandfather and the rest of his siblings were officially dubbed the Titans."
"Yes" Hestia nodded her head. "And what happened after that"
"This is stupid. You know what happened" You groaned. "What's the point of this?"
