The atmosphere was tense. The weather today isn't even supposed to be extremely hot, but it felt like the hottest day of summer with Hestia's flames rising. Even the donkeys were suffering from the heat. You flicked your wrist, growing a tree behind you so that you can sit down in the shade. The moment the donkeys noticed the giant shadow, they immediately rushed over to join you.

You glanced back at your mentors. They've been glaring at each other for the past hour now. They only exchanged a few words about the snacks Hestia prepared and that resulted in a staredown. You sighed. "So are we going to train? Or do I have to wait until one of you blink?"

They turned to you. Hestia took a deep breath, the heat subsiding back to normal. "My apologies, (y/n). Where should we start?"

"How about Hippolyta and I show you what we've been working on?" You smiled. "She's been showing me how to fight without my magic"

"She's a good fighter, but she's been relying on her powers too much" Hippolyta crossed her arms. "I'm only polishing her skills a bit more"

"Alright. Let me see how she's improved" Hestia walked to her back porch.

You and Hippolyta shared a quick smile before getting in position. The warrior queen spun her sword in her hands. "Try to disarm me"

You smirked, pulling out your own sword. Hestia blew a whistle to begin the match. You lunged at Hippolyta. Per usual, she stepped to the side to dodge your attack. She brought her leg under yours, tripping you and hitting your back with the hilt of her weapon.

"What have I told you about lunging?" She tsked. "Think before you attack"

"But I did" You grabbed your sword, using it to hit her sword out of her hands. "It's called a distraction. You said to evaluate my opponent and situation. And I did. You were distracted with your staring contest"

"Hm. Touche" She grabbed her sword again. "But this time I won't be going easy"

"Oh, I know" You got into position once more.

Hestia watched the two of you spare for a few more tries. She noticed how aigle you've become. Your footsteps were as quiet as a mouse whenever you would try to sneak an attack. Hippolyta, of course, never fell for that approach. She's way too skilled and experienced. Hestia couldn't help but think that that's the problem with the Amazon's training approach.

While you do have some experience in fighting, you've never had to fight an army of soldiers. You never had to lead an army into war. Hippolyta trains the Amazons with an iron fist. Just like her father.

"Ah" You glanced down at your left arm. Blood trickled down from the cut. Hestia quickly rushed over to you.

"You were distracted" Hippolyta wiped her blade with her cape.

"Can't you hold back just a little?" Hestia glared.

"Her enemies won't go easy on her so why should I?" Hippolyta sheathed her sword. Hestia rolled her eyes.

"I think that's enough training on your part for today" She turned to you. "It's my turn"

"Pft. This should be good" Hippolyta leaned against the tree you grew with her arms crossed.

Hestia ignored her while leading you to the middle of the yard. You sat down across from each other. She grabbed your wounded arm. "This is a perfect chance to practice your healing abilities"

"But you said that it's been improving the other day" You tilted your head.

"Yes, but that was about healing yourself. We're going to practice healing others" She waved her hand over your arm. The wound vanished and transferred to hers. "Now, what you're going to do is -"
