Taehyung now knew exactly where he recognised that smell from... because that was the very same thing which he'd sensed when he and Yoongi had been hiding from the creature which had taken Jimin and Hobi...

The scent from the forest...

That thing was here? In the school?

Tae couldn't think any further on the subject - before he rushed inside, his blood freezing at the sight of Jeon Jungkook combing through his sleeping mate's fluffy hair.

"Oh, hello Kim... what are you doing here?" the brunet asked quizzically and the taller was stumped... the smell - it was...

"I-I'm here to see my ma-Yoongi" the teal haired stated as he scanned the room. The nurse wasn't currently there and the damn bastard was just beside his mate.

"Oh really, why?" the athlete inquired, a cocky brow raised at the sentence... a fair question really... to most people in the school - Tae and Yoongi would still be considered as enemies... they couldn't possibly know what had happened during the last weekend.

"I... care about him" Taehyung said, not feeling the need to lie too much... what could this Jungkook fellow ever do to him anyways?

"Really, I guess me and my friend here has some long catching up to do" the brunet hummed, in a tone that almost sounded sarcastic? Why would he though, in this situation... it just felt wrong.

"Could I have a moment with him, please?" the wolf was now becoming restless, just wanting to be with his mate... but also to check if his suspicions were true.

"Five minutes"

Just as Jungkook was passing the taller by - Tae could swear he saw them reflecting the light of the bright lamp above their heads and they shone a blaring orange, staring into his own.

"I swear he's a shifter, I don't know what kind... but he smelt exactly the same as that beast in the damned forest did!" the werewolf exclaimed as he was almost yelling into his phone, making his older brother flinch at the other side of the line... retracting the item from his ear to lessen the volume.

"I hear you Tae, but we can't barge into your school and interrogate him" Namjoon explained in an as calm voice as he could muster at the moment, but his brother wasn't having it - not at all.

"Moony! He's in that bloody room alone with my mate - and I can't do shit about it!" Taehyung fumed as he had been thrown out, since he wasn't officially one of the merman's friends and was therefore not as welcome to see him... stupid Jeon.

"I understand that you're frustrated, I really do, but think of it like this - if this Jeon Jungkook really is as close to Yoongi as you say he is, then he surely wouldn't hurt him or our still missing members?" the older tried to intervene and those words did make the teal haired stop in his movements, replaying them in his head... Yoongi was in fact safe with Jungkook, the question was why Jungkook wanted to be with him?

He wasn't a werewolf, so they weren't exactly mates... so why would he capture Jimin and Hobi then?

That's the weirdest part... if Jeon, whom Tae knew fancied Yoongi, really was after his mate... then why would he take the other two?

It didn't make any sense.

Taehyung decided to try and get inside the nurse's office once again, knocking on the door - which opened up to a bored Jungkook who rolled his eyes at the sight of the same guy again.

"What is it now Kim?"

"You know what! I wanna know how he's doing" the wolf stated with his arms crossed over his chest and the brunet sighed deeply, his hand scratching the nape of his neck.

"And like all those other times... I'm obviously not letting you take a step inside of this room" the taller bit back - and that's when tae lost it...

The werewolf stopped holding his eyes back, fangs slowly protruding from his gums - staring at the brunet in pure malice. "Let me get my mate" Taehyung growled, his whole stature changing, shoulders tense and feet agile as if growing into more of an attack stance.

"Mate... huh - either way I won't let him go wolf" Jungkook also grumbled back, his own irises taken over by a golden shine.

"What are you... and why? Why do all these things?" the teal haired questioned through harshly gritted teeth and the other only looked at him with a smug look, arms crossed over his puffed out chest.

"I can tell you one thing and that is - I am the only thing standing between Yoons and my pride, so you better back off" Jungkook said quickly, before slinking back into the nurse's office and effortlessly locking the door before Tae could even react.
