Humanity

The system is broken.
Humans,
Humans are broken.

If 2012 happened today,
If a war happened today,
If humanity dies today,
Will we be remembered?
Is our history even worth remembering?

Time never took a break,
Fires do run out,
Memories do fade away.
We will die
The grand design will die.

Our 'present' ,a gift,
How do we use it?
Should we be wasted all out lives?
Do achievements even matter?

Why is our philosophy,
Our psychology,
Our understanding limited?

Is there a god?
Did we create him just to thank someone for this life?
Thank someone?
It's human nature.
Our psychic.

What is the purpose of life?
Why do we hurt?
Why do we care?
Is this humanity?

Why are we stupid?
Why are we smart?
Is this humanity?

Why do we feel happy?
Why do we feel empty?
Is this humanity?

We are codependent on each other?
We fight wars?
Is this humanity?

Humanity is a lot of things.
Humanity is about humans,
Humans understanding each other.

Having compassion and empathy.
This is humanity.

It's like air, it's alll around earth,
It connects the atmosphere.
Joins the dots.
We are the dots of this.
Every person who feels for another.
This is humanity.

To hate and love,,
To kill and protect
To war and peace,
For what?
To make this life better?
To escape from life?
To have all?
This is humanity.

Jealousy,
Anxiety,
Depression,
Negativity,
Even animals have those emotions.
But learning from them,
Being wise,
Upgrading,
This is humanity.

Humans could never understand each other and never will. Currently, everything people care about is being protective of what they have. Protect their family, protect their religion, protect themselves.
And we have been so agressive in this that we forget out humanity. We hurt and hate ,kill and war all to protect what we have. Is this a part of humanity? We become blind towards another life and lack empathy and compassion, is this the best part of ourself?

People go to war only on the command of their leaders, but do they actually want to kill someone unknown for the sake of commands given by another human just because of authority? Even if u choose to become a soldier, a burden will always exist. The licence to kill is illegal in the laws of humanity.

We created our own rules, since we were born we learn to follow them, if we don't, we are punished. I understand we are not animals. But before punishing, do they think of why we did what we did? Did they think of our unique psychology, our livelihood, our upbringing and our point of view? Rules will never be flowless, the system will always be broken because we ourselves are not perfect. A perfect system  will never exist.

As human nature, we always thank someone for their help. We appreciate being approached, we appreciate being called human. And because of this, we believe in god. We create it so as to remember who we are and  thank him for this life. But do we get SO carried away that if someone believes differently, we will annihilate them? Annihilate their entire religion?
Kill for the sake of protecting our OWN religion?  Do we become so blind that we forget the meaning of religion itself and why it exists in the first place?

I just want to say that our imperfections are rather perfect for each one in a unique manner. At the end, it's just you living your life, holding on to your emotions, feelings and passion. You will be satisfied with life depending on how many people you helped, become wise and when you die, it will be a peaceful death. Nothing can take that part of you away from you.
This universe has given you more than enough to see and feel even if it's negligible of its whole.
Living and being alive is not the same.

Be glad for even if you even helped someone once and have the will to do it again, you keep this light of humanity alive.
