Taehyung was sad about the broken mug, but was even more surprised to find it in front of his door, glued neatly back together, with a "sorry" note. Taehyung pressed his lips together and walked back in. He bit his nails. It was somehow cute how the younger glued the mug. He smiled. Of course he don't forgive him this easily for breaking his mug, and of course he was an even worser brat than ever, but Taehyung couldn't help to smile in that moment. It was almost like back then, when he ruined his mothers rug.
It was the beginning of summer, and Taehyung has just settled down with his parents at this new house. Taehyung was moody, not just because he was a thirteen year old teen, it was also because he have to leave all his friends in Daegu. Since they just bought a house in Seoul, there wasn't any chance to go on vacation either. It would be a long boring summer break, and then he has to go into a new school. The only good thing was, Yoongi was living near. Yoongi, his cool cousin he had a great friendship with. His mother was excited, as he told him the neighbours next door also just moved in here and want to come for a visit. Well, the woman and her eleven year old son. The dad's were working currently. A bit later the doorbell rang, and Taehyung walked to the door, were his mother glowingly greeted the new neighbours. He peeked through the door curiously. There he was. The boy. Taehyung felt a sharp pang in his chest as he looked at the cute raven boy, who looked at him with doe eyes. He looked a bit shy, but smiled. His smile was just adorable, just like his cute little nose. Taehyung was in awe at the sight and invited him inside excitedly, as the women walked in. "Hi, I'm Taehyung." "I'm Jungkook." "Want to come to my room?" Jungkook nodded. Taehyung smiled and gestured him to follow him upstairs. Jungkook looked around curiously and walked to a bunch of Comics. "O my god! You read 'Tintin' too?" Taehyung nodded. "I don't know anybody who does. Guess we have the same taste." Then they just started to talk naturally, and they didn't even realized that a whole hour past, just with them talking about different things. "Taetae, aren't you thirsty?" His mother shouted from the living room. Taehyung looked at Jungkook who smiled. "I'm actually thirsty." They went down and poured some juice into their cups. They had some cherries too, and Jungkook just grabbed a hand full, after Taehyung said he can take some if he would like to. The ladys were admiring the new rug Taehyung's mom bought a few days ago, it was a creamy coloured rug, with a fluffy texture. Meanwhile, Tae and Jungkook were in the garden, spitting some cherry cores, and looking who gets further. Taehyung won and he made a happy dance. Jungkook laughed and said he would bring some more. They both went back, finding the living room empty as they heard some giggling and women voices from upstairs talking. Jungkook carried a lot of cherries, but unfortunately some fell down, and he tripped on them, on top of the new rug. Jungkook gasped as he saw the mess he made and the deep red stains on the rug. He began to panic and hurried to bring something to clean it. He tried to get the stain out, but it doesn't worked, so he made a note and rushed out of the house, dragging Taehyung with him, who tried to help him getting the stain out. Taehyung's mother wasn't pleased, but she smiled as she read 'sorry, from Jungkook' on a piece of paper. She of course knew how to handle the stains, and it was soon forgotten. Since then, both became inseparable, astonished how alike they were, and share same hobbies and talents.
Taehyung sighed as he thought back. Jungkook was always so precious to him, and even if he can't admit it to himself, he liked it very much to be around him. Even if he breaks some dear mugs.
After the mug incident, Jungkook got a tiny bit less bratty. He even complimented Taehyung's pictures he took or drawing he made in their courses. Sure, he kept on teasing him and tried to manipulate some ladys to not date him. They both got very popular around the girls and even some boys, but they just kept on dating sometimes, not interested in any serious relationship. Taehyung was still annoyed with the younger, but he got used to how it was. "You looking like Saint-Exupéry's little prince with that hairstyle." Jungkook said once in the darkroom to Taehyung. Taehyung didn't know if it was a compliment or not. "And you look like Kirito san from SAO." Jungkook chuckled. They were busy to develop some pictures they took for the theme: morning light. There were just two other students in the dark room with them, all busy to make their pictures in the old fashioned way. Taehyung liked the sour smell of the chemical substances, that hit strong in his nose. Jungkook on the other hand disliked it, he was always quite sensitive with scents. "I'm about to puke." He said. "Why can't we just make it with digital cameras? Like normal people?" Taehyung rolled his eyes. "This is how it was since ever. This is not just art, it's history, and it's important to get this experience to understand the whole process of a complete picture." "Thank you, PROFESSOR, but I'm about to puke anyways." "Then get out here." "I can't, not finished yet." "Then move, I need to lay my paper in this substance." "Nope." "Shall I make you move?" "I want to see you trying." Taehyung pushed him aside, Jungkook pushed him back, and they were pushing their bodys against each other, until Jungkook pulled away, and Taehyung fell on the ground. "Oh, wait, I AM finished." Jungkook chuckled and went out of the room. "Idiot." Taehyung said, as he wiped the dust from his shirt as he stood up.
