All this time and he hadn't forgotten a single thing about it. The memories that were made that night would never leave his mind, not that he wanted to forget about them either and if they did find some way to become forgotten, he would be crushed as it raised his doubts but offered answers to them. The doubts being the feelings towards him and the question that kept him up for countless nights and didn't leave him alone no matter what he did to make them leave was whether Roger felt the same way. It never calmed down, and with each day, the unsureness got to him, taking over his thoughts and being all that was on his mind, urging to figure out the answer so badly.

Looking back on past interactions, his response was obvious. He didn't reciprocate the feelings and the bond they had was more of that of a friendship love relationship and Brian didn't have a problem with that. He was grateful to have some type of bond with Roger, but the fact that he would never feel the same way towards him as he did sunk his heart at the slightest. The dull pain in his chest grew with the rushing feelings coming from the realization hitting him in the gut without warning. Letting himself to be drowned by his own self pity, it was put to a stop. No, he couldn't be doing this again, last time he did it, he screwed everything up and hurt Roger but most of all, himself. Falling into that trap wouldn't happen anytime soon as long as he was there to stop it. Trying to put it at the back of his mind where it should've stayed hidden, the memories of that night came into mind and his suspicions were out to his full dreaded attention. That soon turned into the nice feelings that he'd become so used to.

He'd always known that it would never happen, telling himself that he shouldn't even bother with it and go on with his life, but with that, they inhabited his mind, telling him otherwise. It seemed the more he tried to force the thoughts away the more they came back, stronger at that. He couldn't help it and that was the worst thing about it all. The nice feelings rushed into him everytime he laid eyes on the Roger that he wished was his. His smile, made his day that much brighter and never left his mind. Not only his smile, but his personality. What would he do without his quick wit and sarcasm? He didn't have a clue. Going back to his reality, he sighed as he laid eyes on the bookstore in front of him. Flashbacks from the day when Roger had gotten fired rushed in and replaced the good ones that had taken a lot of effort to come in the first place. That was the problem, getting them wasn't hard but getting them to stay proved to be impossible. He would figure it out someday or another, for now he would have to struggle.

Roger's face, eyes filled with tears and Will still having the nerve to break him further, it angered him. Why couldn't he see that he wasn't the one responsible for every single bad thing that happened and treat him with some decency at least. But this was Will he was talking about, of course he would put anyone down to boost his ego. It wouldn't hurt to try to change his mind to give Roger his position back at the store and that's what he'd been attempting to do for the past few days and despite his efforts, he wasn't having any of it, shutting his idea out by the very mention of it. It was worth trying and he would do it again, prepared to get rejected once more. He wouldn't give up so easily, he knew how much the shop meant to Roger and would do anything to get it back to him. The day would come and he was more than ready for it. Shrugging his thoughts off, he was shot right out of it with something hard slamming into him. What the fuck? Looking down his body, there it was, paint splattered all over him. What was happening? Before he got a chance to find whatever was doing such a thing, more paint splattered over him, shooting at him from all directions. Trying to block them out, more came without stop, feeling like pins and needles stabbing into his skin with each one fired at him. That was it. He'd had enough of this. Ready to go do something about it, he was stopped with a figure slamming into him and running off into the distance. And right at that moment, Roger came into the scene, dashing after them, speeding past Brian. No, he couldn't let him do this, he would get hurt. Heart jumping out of his chest, the words shot out of him.
