"Let her Go!"

Lexy woke up early Saturday morning. She laid in bed thinking about the night before. What she thought most about was Woods carrying her to the car. She doesn't remember a whole lot of what had happened but she does remember falling asleep on his shoulder, being gently picked up and carried to the car. She hadn't wanted to let go. She wanted to stay snuggled up in Woods' arms and not have to leave. She started to think about what Amanda had said. Lexy didn't want to live in constant fear of being in another relationship but what if he turned out to be just like Kent? He had seemed so nice and loving and then one day it was like a switch had been flipped and he became a living nightmare. Is Woods faking it just like Kent? Could she be sure that he's genuine? It was only 7:30 so Nat wouldn't be up for a couple more hours. She picked up her phone and started scrolling through Instagram. She decided to search everyone she had met last night and saw that they were the people she met in those pictures too. She was even in a few of Cat's and Sam's pictures. She decided to follow them all. She started scrolling through Woods' Instagram. She then got a text message.
Hey, this is Woods.

She smiled and opened the message

Good morning Woods
You're up early.

I couldn't sleep. You're up early too you know 😉

I guess I am. For a Saturday at least. I normally get up around 7 on weekdays

Same. I have the list of YouTube channels for you. Want me to send them to you now?

Sure. I don't have anything better to do
She got up and went to the bathroom as she waited for a text from Woods. As she walked back to her bed she got a text. She grabbed a notebook and a pen and started writing down the channel names.

Thanks! If I ever get bored I'll have something to do lol

You're not wrong. They certainly help pass the time.

I will take your word on that. 😉

They continued to chat for another hour before Woods said he needed to go. Lexy just sat on her bed and smiled. An hour later she could hear Nat getting up and preparing for the day. She got up off of her bed and picked out her outfit for the day.

She got into the shower and let the hot water run for a few extra minutes before turning it off

She got into the shower and let the hot water run for a few extra minutes before turning it off. As she dried off her phone got a notification.

"Hey guys! It's Nat. I thought it would be cool to make a group text, then we can stay in touch and maybe even plan more hangouts! I put Lexy in the group too so if you could say who you are so she can add your number that would be great!"

Lexy got a little teary eyed at her bestie's thoughtfulness and including her. She was soon getting texts from everyone that had been at Matt's last night and she quickly added them to her phone. As Lexy walked down the hall to the living room Nat greeted her with a hug. "Good morning Lex! How'd you sleep?" "Pretty good. I don't really remember much after Woods helped me to the car." Nat grinned. "You dozed off till we got home and I had to help get you pajamas and keep you awake long enough to change. You were out cold in less than 5 minutes." Lexy chuckled. "I must have been really tired!" She sat down on the couch and turned on Netflix. She and Nat decided to watch a few episodes of Once Upon A Time. They loved the series and watching it together was so fun. After the third episode they got up to make an early lunch. Lexy and Nat's phones were going off a lot as everyone was talking in the group chat. They both laughed at Tanner and Connor's bantering. Lexy was enjoying it immensely. "Are they always like this?" She said trying to control her laughter. "Oh yeah! Everyone is like this to some point. It can get very interesting and hilarious at times." Nat said chuckling. After lunch Lexy got a call from Christie.

Hey Alexis, I know it's Saturday but would you be able to come in for a couple of hours? Something came up at home that I have to go take care off. I would ask Jen but she's with her Grandpa.

Yeah, I can come in. I'll be there shortly.

Thank you so much! I appreciate it!

You're welcome Christie! I'll talk to you later!

Okay, talk to you later! Bye.

Lexy's POV
"Hey Nat, I'm going to go cover for Christie for a couple of hours. I'll be back later." "Okay, maybe the gang and I will go in for some coffee or sodas!" Lexy couldn't help but smile. "That would be cool! Well, I need to go. I'll be looking for you guys!"
When I got to Coffee Express I met Christie inside. "Thank you again Alexis! You're a saint!" I nodded and gave her a small smile. Christie headed out the door and I put on my apron. There was some decent business for a Saturday. Nat had texted the group and they all said they would meet her there in 45 minutes. As I waited for them all to get there I filled 5 orders. Soon I was alone in the shop and there was at least 15 minutes until they would be there. I was cleaning up the counters when I heard the door open. I smiled and as I turned said "You're here early!" But it wasn't any of my new friends or Nat. I froze. "What do you want? What are you doing here! You, you should be in jail!" Kent laughed with contempt. "I'm out on probation. I figured while I'm out, why not pay you a visit?" I started backing away as he came closer. "Stay away from me Kent! Don't touch me!" I looked at the clock, I still had 10 minutes until they were to be here. He came even closer. "Don't tell me what to do girl!" He then rushed and pinned me to the wall holding me by my throat. I grasped at his hands trying to loosen his hold and put my feet on the floor. I wasn't able to breathe very well and my vision was going in and out of focus. Kent had an evil sneer on his face. I was beginning to lose hope when the door opened and a voice yelled out "Let her go!" Kent dropped me on the floor and turned to face my defender.
