CHAPTER 12:
The war between Hiccup and Drago Bludvist continued. All I could do was stand down there staring at them fight. Then a dragon hurled towards me and I shot out ice from my hands throwing it away.
“You have ice powers?!’ Astrid yelled at she tried to battle a dragon while trying not to hurt it.
“Maybe?” I replied feebly.
“That’s why you and Jack are friends!” She exclaimed and continued battling. For a moment she got irritated with the dragon and yelled at it. “Stormfly! Can’t you see I’m trying to have a conversation here?!” For a moment, the dragon looked at Astrid with a sad and ignorant face and then went back to the normal evil form.
“Tell her we’re not just friends.” Jack whispered behind me. I blushed and glared at him. He nodded and mouthed ‘Go on...’
“Actually Astrid, Jack and I are together. You know... more than ‘friends’” I said with an awkward smile.
“I knew it!” She yelled excited. “I didn’t want to tell anything wrong.”
“You didn’t.” I smiled at her.
She looked up and pointed at the sky. “Hiccup got Toothless back! Go baby!”
I looked up and saw Hiccup flying on his dragon. The weird thing was, the dragon’s eyes were covered. “Is he crazy?!” I yelled
“No. He and Toothless have excellent co-ordination. He’ll do it! I know! Go Hiccup!” Astrid yelled cheering. While her attention was away from the dragon she was tackling, it decided to incinerate her and opened its jaws to spit fire at her.
“Astrid lookout!” I said and threw a snowball at the dragon. It shook it’s head and turned to me. “Nice dragon?” I said in a small voice.
“Hey Stormfly! Here! Not there!” Astrid yelled waving her hands. The dragon just ignored her and started to move towards me. I backed away little by little trying to keep it as far as possible.
“Stormfly!” Astrid yelled and ran in front of it. It just pushed Astrid out of the way and advanced closer. Its narrow eyes seemed to pierce me right through my heart. It then opened its jaws to spit out fire at me. I knew it would chase me if I tried to run away and knew that I had no chance that I would outrun a dragon. I just stood there embracing the probability of my death.
Elsa. Jack needs you. Don’t leave him. Fight! My alter ego told me. I knew that was the truth. I raised my hand and readied myself for ultimate explosion. I prepared to shoot ice any moment.
Don’t hurt the dragon. You know Astrid is attached to it.
The dragon’s mouth grew bright and I could see the fire forming inside it. In a second, the fire was out and it hurled towards me. I shot ice out immediately and tried to protect myself while not hurting the dragon. It worked quite well. The ice blocked the fire and there was a bright light as the ice and the fire collided. Everyone stared at the explosion except Hiccup, Toothless, Drago Bludvist and the Alpha.
The dragon continued to glare at me, and then it’s eyes flickered. The eyeballs turned wide and the innocent looked restored it’s face. It looked around and ran away. On the other end, we noticed Hiccup with Toothless who landed. They were standing there proud and tall, until the Alpha threw ice at them. and they were stuck inside it.
“Hiccup! No!” Astrid yelled and ran towards the huge chunk of ice which stood where Hiccup and toothless were a moment ago.
Ice can break ice. Combine your powers with Jack.
“Jack! Ice defeats ice!” I yelled looking at Jack. He understood it immediately and ran to the other side of the ice. He raised his staff and I, my hands. We closed our eyes and sent out waves of our powers to Hiccup and Toothless. Our invisible power. I felt weak and queasy after a while and fell to the ground hoping it was enough. Like I had hoped, the ice began to glow in a shade of blue and then it burst. Into a million pieces.
The smile on Drago Bludvist’s face faded and he frowned at them. Jack ran by my side and helped me up. Astrid looked at me with gratitude filling her eyes and she smiled.
Toothless was glowing a shade of ultramarine blue under his scales. He shot fire at the Alpha again and again, until a tusk fell off. Toothless bellowed and the Alpha returned to the depths of the sea as Drago clung on to it. Once the Alpha was gone, all the dragons accumulated around Toothless and bowed down at its feet. He was the new king. And Hiccup was the new chief.
Astrid yelped in delight and ran towards Hiccup. She exchanged a few dialogues and Hiccup pulled her in for a kiss. The whole town cheered and cooed.
“We should leave.” Jack said holding my hand. “Anna will be worried.” I nodded and he held on to me preparing to fly.
“Not so fast!” Hiccup said and stopped us. “We have to thank you. For supporting us through this. Queen Elsa.” He knew? I looked up at Jack and he smirked. He was unstoppable.
The whole village kneeled down and I bowed.
“It’s my Privilege. For now, I must leave. But I will be back soon.” I addressed them and held on to Jack as we flew away from Berk.
“Goodbye!” Hiccup exclaimed from bellow us and I smiled. This was going to be a new start...
