As I was crying, I heard a knock on the door. I knew who it was. It was Benny. I didn't want to see him, so I decided not to answer the door.

"Natalie, will you get that?" my dad asked. Of course, I had to.

I walked to the door while wiping the tears from my eyes. I wonder what Benny would think if he saw me like this. He'll probably be able to tell I was crying. I didn't want to seem weak, so I tried to wipe off the tears as much as I could. I finally made it to the door, and slowly opened it.

"I'm always here," Marley said with her arms wide open as the door opened.

"Marley?!" I said in shock. "What are you doing here? How?"

"I'm still waiting," she said, talking about my future hug.

"Oh, right," I said, and gave her a tight hug. When we were done, she finally answered my question, or questions.

"I had planned to come visit, and we finally got to. On the way down here was when I was talking to you. That means my parents kind of know everything," she explained.

"That's ok; I like your parents," I smiled. Her parents like me also. I can trust them, I think.

At that time, her parents ran up to me and hugged me saying it was great to see me again. I did the same for them. I was finally forgetting about... Whatever had happened.

My parents heard what was going on and came outside to see. Their faces immediately lit up as soon as they saw Marley and her parents, who were very happy to see them too.

I brought Marley to my room and she looked around.

"Kind of plain," she said.

"I know. It hasn't been painted yet," I defended how my room looked.

"Alright."

There was about ten seconds of silence, until out of curiosity, I asked a question.

"How long are you staying?" I had to know.

"Until next Sunday!" she exclaimed with a smile on her face.

"Awesome!" I was so happy about being with my best friend for about eight days! As I thought about this, I was reminded of that jerk of an old friend I had. Suddenly, she asked the question that fixed a few problems.

"You think I can come to school with you?" she asked. "I didn't bring any school supplies, but will the teachers and principle let me walk around with you?"

"You're coming anyway," I smiled, and she smiled back.

"Cool; I'll get to meet that jerk you were talking about and then I'll get to teach him a lesson. What's his name?"

"Benny, and you don't need to do that. We can just avoid him, and ignore him every time he says something," I wasn't smiling anymore. Thinking of Benny just made me sad.

"Okay, but if you change your mind, I'm here."

"Good; I'm so glad you are."

Marley understands me, unlike anyone at my school. I finally had a real friend with me.
