"So you two are vampires," I looked at Sarah and Erika.
"Well, he finally told you, and you actually believed him," Erica slowly said.
"You must have some feelings for Benny, huh?" Sarah asked.
"I actually didn't believe him at first. I thought he was lying but then I let him prove it to me. Rory showed me," I explained, not saying anything about having "feelings for Benny."
"Okay. Yeah; we're vampires. I love it. I'm prettier, stronger, and faster than who I used to be. Sarah doesn't like it at all," Erica said.
"Of course, I don't! I won't grow old, and when I had a boyfriend he caused all of us to be like this. I also can't see my reflection. Maybe I don't want to live forever!" Sarah made it clear that she obviously didn't like it. I wouldn't want to be a vampire either.
School hadn't started yet and Marley and I had gotten there early to talk to Sarah and Erica. Benny, Ethan, and Rory were apparently in the science lab doing I don't know what. Marley hadn't said anything. She just listened, until Erica brought up me and Benny's dark moments.
"What did you do to Benny that was so heartbreaking?" Erica questioned with a tiny grin on her face.
Marley chimed in. "I told him that if he never told the truth, he would regret it. I said Natalie wouldn't be friends with him again if he didn't."
"Huh, I like you. Let's be friends," Erica smiled at Marley's revenge side.
"That's cool, but I leave Sunday, and you're a vampire. Also, I was just annoyed. I'm not like that all the time."
"Yeah, she's usually always happy," I said.
"Well if Natalie can be my friend, then you can. So what if you're leaving? That's was phones are for," Erica sasses at her.
"Calm down! I didn't say we couldn't be friends. I just said it'd be kind of hard and awkward at times," Marley explained.
"I don't understand, but whatever," Erica sighed.
I decided to change the subject to something a lot more important. "Erica; you said you're my friend. That means I can trust you, right? You won't try to bite me, right?"
"I won't bite you! I'm not THAT bad," she rolled her eyes.
"Okay; I'm just making sure," I said.
At that moment, the boys walked in to where we were.
"When did you ladies get here?" Rory asked.
"We've been here, dork," Marley laughed.
"You seem so different," Benny said to Marley.
"I'm so relieved that you and Natalie are friends again. I was about to lose it," she said.
"Yeah, you were pretty threatening."
"Yeah. PRETTY threatening," Rory empathized the word "pretty."
"Stop it," Marley smiled.
I gave them a look wondering what was going on. Did she actually like Rory? Maybe she was just really happy.
I stopped looking at them and spoke to Ethan.
"Hey, Ethan! Haven't talked to you in a while!" I said.
"Yeah; you were kind of avoiding us," he said.
"Yeah; that's over now," I pointed out.
We all talked for a few minutes and then we walked to class. Marley and Rory talked on the way and they walked in front of us. I was between Benny and Ethan and then Sarah and Erica trailed behind and then went to their classes. Marley seemed to like talking to Rory. Wow; maybe she really did like him.
