Sebastian shows Chris where to park when they arrive and gets out of the car, leaning against the closed door. He looks up at the cloudy sky, fluttering his eyes closed and taking in a deep breath. The woods was exactly what he needed. At the bridge, he usually sat, legs swinging over the edge, and talked about his day, as though his mother was sat right beside him, listening, smiling.

Chris looks over to Sebastian and smiles softly. He hopes that in going through the woods, Sebastian will open up to him about what has happened, tell him if he turned to hurting himself. Hoped that Sebastian wasn't holding anything to himself, that he was safe at home. "You ready to go?" Chris asks, cutting through Sebastian's train of thought.

Sebastian's eyes fly open at the sudden words and tries to ease the violent attack of shaking coursing though his body. "Wh-what?" He whispers, clearing his throat.

Chris furrows his brows. "You okay?" He asks, taking in the amount of shaking Sebastian's body was doing, the fear in his wide eyes, the short and fast intake of breath.

Sebastian nods. "M'fine." He sidesteps from Chris's outstretched hand and begins walking into the dense forest. Chris was shocked, and has to run to catch up to him.

Once making it to the middle of the woods, Sebastian taking the right turns from instinct, they arrive at the large bridge overlooking a lake. Chris's eyes widen and a gasp slips from his lips.

"Woah." He whispers, slowly walking up to the bridge. "I don't remember ever seeing this here."

Sebastian shrugs. "Probably cause its so deep into the woods." He takes a stand beside Chris before sinking down onto his knees and shifting his legs to rest over the edge. "I go here a lot to clear my head." Sebastian explains, sucking in a shaky breath. "Help ease everything."

Chris takes a seat beside Sebastian, shoulders brushing. "You sure everything's okay?" He asks. "I know it's probably not the best to push but.. you're worrying me."

Sebastian sighs. "I'm fine. Don't worry. It was kind of expected." More lies. His father threw his mother out. It was all his fathers fault.

Chris is taken aback. "Really?"

"I guess. She'd come home for less then a week and then go away for a few months. Then, repeat. Her and.. dad.. were having some troubles, but.. it didn't seem that bad."

Sebastian felt so disgusted in himself for lying. He wished that one day, one day he would be able to tell the truth, tell Chris what was really going on. That his father was.. not a father. He needed someone to talk to about what ever was happening inside of his mind, but.. Chris couldn't know anything. Sebastian needed to protect him from his life.

"I'm so sorry Seb." Chris had placed a hand on his shoulder and that shocking and tingling feeling came back. Sebastian shivers. "We don't have to keep talking about it."

Sebastian sighs in relief. "Thank you." He whispers. Sebastian thinks that if they carried on, he would have let it slip. Make his life more of a living hell.

"Man, this place really is beautiful." Chris breathes, voice quiet. "I need to come here more often."

"Yeah." Sebastian spoke with such a small, quiet voice, Chris almost missed his response. He gazes down at the lake, watching with dark, lifeless eyes as the water grazes over the grey rocks, pushing some around to make soft clanking sounds to join in with the birds chirping. It felt kind of romantic.
