You gripped the letters tightly, tears dripping onto the paper. Bakugou walked into the room seeing the roaring fire and you sitting. "Y.n..."
"I saved every letter you wrote me, from the moment I saw you I knew you were mine. You said you were mine, I thought you were mine..."
His heart sunk when he realized you read the pamphlet.
"Do you know what Ochaco said when I told her what you did? She said 'you've married an Icarus, he's flown to close to the sun.'"
He reached out and stepped closer, ready to comfort you.
"Don't! Don't take another step in my direction," you snapped turning to him. Then he saw your tear stained face. "I can't be trusted around you! Don't! Think you can talk your way into my arms!" You said stepping back.
"I'm burning the letters you wrote me. You can stand over ther I feel you want, I don't know who you are. I have so much to learn. I'm rereading you letter now watch them burn!" You said tossing the now meaningless letters into the fire.
He reached out to grab them but missed, watching the flames swallow the letters and turn them to ash. The embers dancing, as if they were taunting him. His crimson eyes reflected the fire and her turned to look at you. "Y.n-"
"You published she wrote to you! You told the whole world how you brought this girl into our bed! In clearing your name you have ruined our lives!" You screamed.
"Heaven forbid someone whispers 'he's part of some scheme'. Your enemy whispers so you have to SCREAM! And I know about whispers, I see how you look at my sister."
He tried to step closer, wanting to explain himself, but the words wouldn't form. "Y.n I-
"DONT! I'm not naive, I have seen women around you! Don't think I don't see how they fall for your charms! ALL OF YOUR CHARMS!" You wailed, sobbing now.
"I'm erasing myself from the narrative. Let future historians wonder how Y.n reacted when you broke her heart! You've thrown it all away, stand back watch it BURN!" You swiped at the desk, grabbing the letter and throwing them into the fire. The fire flowed against your skin and you felt a huge weight lifted from your shoulder.
"When the time comes, explain to the children the pain and embarrassment that you put their mother through! When will you learn that they are your legacy! WE ARE YOUR LEGACY!" You stalked toward him and jabbed him with your finger.
"If you thought you were mine! Don't!" You shoved him and tossed the rest of the letters into the fire.
"Y.n! I-I'm sorry!"
"Sorry? SORRY DOESNT CUT IT!"
