For the past hour, you had been hustling around your house, attempting to get ready for your cousin Selena's wedding. You were a bit nervous, especially since she had chosen you as a bridesmaid, and you'd never been one before.

You were expecting Tyler and Josh to be over soon, since they were coming with. So you pressed the call button below Tyler's contact on your phone, patiently waiting for him to answer. Just a second later, the ringing stopped, and you heard his soft voice from the other line. "Hello?"

"Hey, Tyler," you started with a smile. "Are you and Josh on your way?"

"Yeah, we'll be right there," Tyler answered. You said your quick goodbyes, and then hung up.

You had already changed into the dress that Selena had picked out for every girl- it was a pastel pink, flowing down just below your knees. Your hair was left down, since you preferred it that way, so you were pretty much already ready. You just wanted a second opinion from Tyler and Josh. After all, you didn't want to look like an embarrassment on your cousin's wedding day.

They soon arrived, and both Tyler and Josh assured you that you looked fine. You were suspicious over whether or not they were just trying to be nice, but you figured you wouldn't argue over it.

"Seriously," Tyler said when he saw the uncertainty in your expression. "You look pretty." Butterflies fluttered in your stomach when he told you that. For some reason, it felt different when Tyler said it rather than anybody else. He made you feel special, even though he was just a friend.

But he probably didn't mean it that way. Tyler was sweet, always trying to make the people he cared about feel good. You had to keep reminding yourself that he didn't see you the same way you saw him.

"Thank you," you replied shyly. "And the both of you look handsome too," you added, earning a smile from the two boys.

When the ceremony started, you were standing on the alter, along with the other bridesmaids. You scanned the crowd, seeing your parents, friends, and some other family members. But you stopped on one face in particular. He flashed you a smile, followed by a little wave. You returned the gesture, but tried to keep it low-key so you wouldn't draw any attention to yourself.

The ceremony was traditional, and although all you did was stand up there with a bouquet of flowers in your hand, you did find it exciting. Two people were getting married, and they were going to spend the rest of their lives together. Just the thought of it made you happy.

"They seem perfect for each other," Josh commented as you guys were on your way to the reception.

"Yeah, they do," you agreed.

"Seeing them get married makes me excited for my own wedding someday," Tyler mentioned.

"Me too," you replied. "I mean, if I ever get married."

"Why do you say if?" Tyler questioned.

"I don't know," you replied with a shrug. "I hope I can get married, but sometimes I just think that nobody would want me." The way you said it sounded so pessimistic, but really you were just voicing the thoughts you'd always had.

"Don't say that," Tyler responded. "There are plenty of guys out there who would love to have a girl like you." Although his statement made your heart melt and your cheeks turn pink, you still couldn't help but think that he was wrong. It didn't matter though. Today was your cousin's day, and you didn't need to spend time worrying about yourself.
