Days passed and suddenly the last day of school was tomorrow. Amelia was very excited. Summer meant that she could go to the beach more often, and she could read a lot of books. Quinn was simply eager to get out of school. The ‘punch me in the face’ mood created by procrastinating on homework had gotten old very quickly. Zak found school very stressful and was happy to be getting a break, even though he enjoyed learning. Lexis couldn’t wait to spend more time with their friends and family.

The last day of school was a half day, so this was the last time Lexis, Quinn, and Amelia would eat lunch together before summer vacation. Lexis’s older brother brought pizza and ate lunch with them while they told him about the mysterious hand.

“That’s weird,” he laughed, sounding a little skeptical.

“Thanks for the pizza, Logan,” Quinn thanked him.

“No problem.”

Amelia thought that Logan looked a lot like Lexis. They both had black hair, rather pale skin, and even similar glasses. Logan seemed to be growing his hair out instead of keeping it short. It wasn’t long like Lexis’s, but it was a little longer than Quinn’s. Amelia wondered how much Lexis got along with their brother and what it was like to have siblings.

“Is it fun having a sibling?” Amelia asked?

Lexis and Logan looked at each other, both with blank expressions, then back at Amelia. “He’s in college, so I only have to deal with him when he visits,” Lexis answered.

“It kinda depends if your siblings suck or not,” Logan joked.

“Would you say that I suck, Logan?” Lexis asked with false interest.

“Well, I say you suck about 40% of the time.”

“I find that extremely inaccurate,” Lexis laughed.

“You’re right, it’s more like 50% I think.”

“Excuse you, name one time--”

“Once,” Logan was speaking to the whole table now, “Lexis stole my chips and convinced me that I just forgot to buy some at the store.”

“A+,” Quinn commented.

“Don’t you encourage xir,” Logan pointed to Quinn.

“Dude you don’t even live with Lexis anymore,” Quinn reminded him.

“Well I do right now.” Logan eyed Lexis suspiciously. “Maybe I should go back to the house to see if my chips are still there.”

“Yeah, you do that,” Lexis laughed.

“Really though, I’m gonna leave now. Bye guys.”

After everyone said goodbye to Logan and watched as he walked to the parking lot, the conversation about summer vacation started up. They wanted to be together after their last day of school, but had to decide how to accomplish that. Amelia suggested another sleepover at her house, but Lexis offered to have it at their house. It was decided that everyone would see if they could stay at Lexis’s house. Then they started talking about what any of them planned to do once school was over. Basically, nobody had any major plans.
