Jealousy

Takagi-San's voice brought Nishikita back to the present. He wasn't sure how long he hadn't been paying attention for.

"Are you Okay?" she said to him.

With some effort, he turned to face her. She was just sitting quietly, looking at him, and he wondered why she was so concerned. As far as he knew, all she did was tease him, and he had no idea about her feelings for him as she had never expressed them. When Takagi-San saw his face, her heart broke for the second time. She was always good at reading what he was thinking about and from looking at his face she could see that he hadn't been thinking about her, but rather about Akari-San. 

"Yeah, I'm fine" Nishikita replied.

"Hey look to your left" said Takagi-San

"Uh Okay"

As Nishikita turned his head, he could see that the new girl was sitting right next to him. He quickly blushed and buried his head right back into his arms.

"Remember your punishment Nishikita" Takagi-San whispered

'Oh damn, I forgot about that stupid punishment Takagi-San gave me for losing the game. I still can't believe she cheated' Nishikita thought to himself. Begrudgingly, he raised his head off of his forearms and looked to his left. Even just looking at her, Nishikita felt a big adrenaline rush and as a wave of nervousness swept over him, he decided that he would just be brave and talk to her.

"Hey Akari-San, um, what do yo..." Nishikita was cut off

"Hey um, we should just focus on the work ok?" she replied

"Uhhh, ok"

'Damn that didn't go well at all. If I can't do this then Takagi-San will tease me so much I won't be able to feel my arms tomorrow.' 

However, the punishment was the last thing that was going through Takagi-San's mind. At that current moment, her mind was not thinking straight. All she could think about was how this new girl had ruined her dreams of being with Nishikita and the pain now enveloped her entire body. She felt like she was going to break down and cry straight away. She had to get out of the classroom before her mental walls broke.

She put her hand up and asked, "Sensei, I feel ill, may I please go to the Nurse's office?"

"Sure thing. Nishikita-Kun go with her to make sure she is ok." The Sensei Replied

"Nishikita-Kun?"

Nishikita snapped out of the daydream he was having and quickly replied,

"Uh, sure. Sorry Sensei!"

Nishikita and Takagi-San stood up and walked out the classroom. As they walked down the corridor, Nishikita asked Takagi-San if she was ok.

"Yeah, I'm fine, just feeling a little off" she replied.

"Okay well let's get you checked out" Nishikita responded, sounding worried.

Despite this warming her heart slightly, she was still extremely broken-hearted. 'Damn that new girl, why did she have to be so pretty.'

"So Nishikita, what do you think of the new girl?"

"Errr....." Nishikita trailed off, whilst blushing madly. 

Heartbroken, Takagi-San went onto autopilot, which around Nishikita usually meant some kind of teasing. So that was what she did. 

"You like her, don't you?" she asked.

What she wasn't expecting was for him to completely freak out, and go absolutely mental at her in the middle of the hallway, right outside the nurses office.
