It was valentines day, and Nishikita was not in a good mood. His forehead still had a massive red mark from when Akari-San had knocked him out, and the latest episode of the anime version of 100% Unrequited Love had been delayed due to casting issues for new characters. As he walked through the school gates, he thought that his day couldn't get any worse. That thought was immediately disproven when he saw Akari-San talking with her friends. His despair only increased when he realized that they were talking about what boys they were going to give chocolate, as was tradition in their school.
His day worsened even more then he had ever imagined when he spotted Takagi-San putting something in somebodies locker. Not his locker however. For some reason, this made him sad, despite the fact that he hadn't spoken to her for a few weeks. He racked his brain for reasons why this made him sad but came up empty. He decided that he would think about it later, so he went to his locker and placed his shoes in. As he opened it, he was disappointed to find no chocolate had been left there for him. He decided that there was no point in getting jealous or over emotional about either of the girls he knew.
*TIME SKIP*
The school day was finally over and Nishikita was glad that it was time for him to go home, as it was the weekend. As he was walking to the locker, he got a sneaky suspicion that somebody was following him. He quickly looked behind him and saw somebody rushing behind a pillar. Thinking it might be Takagi-San, he quickly rushed over to the person. As he rounded the corner, he suddenly felt something pressing on his lips. He shot backwards, his brain not quite believing his eyes. What he saw was Akari-San, who he thought had forgotten about him, staring back at him.
Ignoring the fact that they had accidentally kissed, Akari-San quickly sputtered out,'N-Nishikita, h-hey'. She quickly hid the chocolate that was in her hand, and Nishikita noticed.
'W-who is t-the chocolate for?' he asked as innocently as he could muster.
'Umm.. ' Akari-San blushed. 'Actually, it's for you, as an apology' she said with a new confidence in her voice.
Nishikita instantly blushed and turned away. He didn't know what to do. He still had the red mark reminding him of what she had done but it had been a whole week that he had been ignoring her for. He decided that he would accept the apology and stop ignoring her.
'Okay, I accept your apolog-'
He was cut off by Akari-San's lips as she kissed him. Whilst he appreciated the taste of her chapstick, he had not expected this to happen, so he pulled back from her. Realizing that Nishikita broke the kiss, Akari-San felt hurt, but then guilty as she realized that she hadn't checked to see if it was okay for her to kiss him. Off in the distance, they heard somebody start sobbing, so they turned to see what had happened.
What they didn't expect to see was Takagi-San crying her eyes out, turning, and then running away from them as fast as she could.
