As Nishikata was walking, he was looking down at his phone, checking to see if he had gotten any texts from his friends when he accidentally walked into somebody. As he looked up, his jaw dropped at the appearance of the girl in front of him. It took him a few moments to process why her face looked so familiar and when he did, he realized that it was Takagi-San. He had never seen her this pretty in his life and he was also surprised to see her at where they usually met. The sight of her brought all of their good memories back into his mind, but accompanying those memories where all the bad memories as well.
Their last encounter sprung to his mind and all too quickly he turned to start running away. However, as he started to run, he felt something tug him backwards. He turned himself around to see Takagi-San pulling him back, a curious look on her face.
'What's wrong Nishikata?' She asked him curiously.
'N-nothing Takag-gi-San' he replied sheepishly.
There was silence as they started to walk together to school, something Nishikita found incredibly strange as the last time they had spoken they had been upset at each other. As they were walking, Takagi-San said that she needed to go to the toilet, so she went to the one in the shop whilst Nishikata waited outside.
He felt something poking into his back, and when he turned around he was surprised to find Akari-San hugging him as hard as she could. Once she finally released him, he heard a throat being cleared behind him. He turned around and saw Takagi-San looking angrily at him. Being Nishikata, he was completely oblivious to why she was angry at him. What he didn't see was Akari-San behind him staring daggers at Takagi-San, both of them now aware that they were fighting for Nishikata's heart.
They continued their walk to the school and the entire way, whilst the two girls were staring daggers at each other and thinking of ways to outsmart each other for Nishikata's heart, Nishikata himself was staring off into the distance and thinking about why the two girls he knew had been acting so strangely recently.
When they finally arrived at school, they split up to go to their separate lockers. When he opened his, Nishikita was surprised to find a small chocolate had been left there. When he took it out, he noticed that there was no tag or label that said the name of the person who had put it there. Whilst he held it in his hand, he heard Akari-San ask him what it was. He showed it to her and asked her if she knew who had put it there. When she replied that she didn't know, Nishikata simply shrugged and placed the chocolate back into his locker so he could go to class.
When they got to class Takagi-San was already in her seat and seemed to be waiting for Nishikata to sit down next to her. Instead, Akari-San dragged him over to his new seat, five spaces away from Takagi-San.
As she looked on from the back, Takagi-San smiled as she came up with the perfect plan to beat Akari-San and win Nishikata back.
