Nishikita quickly realized that the entire class had gone quiet. He was curious as to why so he looked to the classroom door, and saw Takagi-San staring daggers at him. Extreme confusion burst on his face and he quickly pieced together that he must have done something to get Takagi-San so angry. What it was however, he didn't know. Finally, after what seemed like an age, Akari-San cleared her throat, causing everyone in the class to realize that they were staring so everyone quickly went back to what they were doing previously, all while keeping a sneaky eye on Nishikita to see if he was going to do anything.
Nishikita quickly turned back to Akari, trying to hide his confusion and continue their previous conversation about the homework, but suddenly, he felt Takagi-San slap him across the face. Unfortunately for her, the Sensei walked in just before she did this and, upon seeing the slap, immediately sent her to the principal. As she was walking out, she turned her head towards Nishikita and glared with a glare that could kill a bird.
Akari felt really bad, as she was the one who had purposefully provoked Takagi-San, trying to get her to back off from Nishikita so that she could have him for herself. She found a slight irony, in that by trying to keep Nishikita for herself, she had gotten him hurt. Nishikita however, felt a complete mix of emotions. On one hand, he felt bad for doing something bad to Takagi-San to anger her, but on the other hand, he was confused and angry as she had never told him what he had done wrong in order to anger her.
The Sensei sent Nishikita to the nurse to get his face checked out, and sent one of his friends with him to make sure that he didn't pass out and hurt his head. Whilst he was walking to the Nurse's office, his friend asked him what he had done to make Takagi-San angry at him.
"I have no clue" he replied simply.
*TIME SKIP*
Akari had been waiting for a while when Takagi-San walked in. She sat down next to Akari-San without acknowledging her. An awkward silence settled over them for a while and they quickly got back to doing their Mathematics work.
After a while of silence, Nishikita walked back into the class. The class quieted for a few seconds, all of them turning their gazes towards him whilst whispering among themselves. He quickly rushed to his seat and stared blankly down at his desk. It was at this point that Takagi-San started to feel slightly bad, but then remembered that he had lied to her, causing her anger to light up again. She was still very emotional, and the angry look that Akari-San was giving her was not improving her mood at all.
In her head, Akari-San was thinking of ways to cheer Nishikita up and get his mind off of Takagi-San and keep his mind on her.
In her own head, Takagi-San was thinking of ways to make Nishikita jealous to try make him take interest in her.
