Remain
Her colourful thoughts collapsed into a barricade of endless nightmares
The night skies filled with infinite sunlight and disappeared into the distance
Where death was always late for its appointment
And life continued to wait for afternoon tea
Cowardly hiding behind the deep blue darkness
Curtains and waves of silent smiles that never seemed to make its way towards her
Washed down with water, coloured red with the liquid that was drained from her veins
It remained
Mindless beings and whispers of forgotten joy
Happiness that never returned
A missing dog that was found but never brought back
It remained gone with the memories that destroyed her thoughts-a.k.a.
