FEARING HAPPINESS

I'm afraid to be happy.
I don't appreciate how people -how we experience happiness.
I don't want to be happy.
For happiness comes before sadness.
For happiness comes before sorrow.
For happiness comes before disappointment.

There's a rainbow always after the rain.
No it isn't.
There isn't rainbow after the rain.
There isn't always rainbow after the rain rather.
For after raining, a storm is yet to come.
A deafening sound of thunder is about to roar.
A blinding ray of lightning is about to flash.
A heavy rain and windy storm is about to pour.
And we aren't expecting it.
For we believed in myths and philosophy that a rainbow is coming after the rain.

Those fantasies we held for years.
It is helpful indeed, it creates hope.
But we must always be aware that storm is teasing.
It comes unexpectedly.
Some of those unexpected were the times we're enjoying the colorful bliss of the rainbow.

I prefer hiding in the dark than being on the spotlight.
The more the people get to know you,
The more the words they could throw and say to you.
The more expectations they're hoping you to achieve in the future.
The more the chances you will throw on impressing them.
Satisfying them.

That will be the chance you're gonna change yourself just to keep them.
In reverse, that'll be the only chance just for them to keep you.
Don't lose yourself, please.
