What Happened on the Night of August 14th?

13th August,
Its 5:14am right now, Charlie woke up to the noise of her neighbours screaming, again. Charlie barely knows about her neighbours but she knows that the husband is very abusive. She also knows that I have a new born, what poor unfortunate child. "SHUT THE FUCK UP BITCH!" she heard the husband yelled, that was so loud and now Charlie can't sleep. She tried so hard to close her eyes but she couldn't, the sounds of the screaming and crying was ringing in her ears, she can't close her eyes.

She got up from bed "ugh again with the screaming, why can't the wife just divorce him already" she said, prolly annoyed at this situation. I wonder if Matt's still awake hmm Charlie thought to herself. She took her phone and decided to text him.

Me: hey Matthew, are u still up rn? Can't sleep, neighbours issues again

She waited for him to respond, she wonders if he would. Then, her phone dings

Matt: ey, yeah I'm awake. Dogs barking like crazyyy, also sorry about ur neighbours lol. Are u doing anything today? If u r taking a day off, let's go hangout again hehe.

Typical Matthew, he knows that Charlie wanted to take the day off today because tomorrow is her birthday. She doesn't like working before her big day. Also, because shes lazy to get up and go to work

Me: yeah am free, when u gonna pick me up?
Matt: uhh maybe around 7 am, if ure okay with that lmao
Me: yeah, yeah I'm okay with that. I'll take a nap and set an alarm, see you soon x
Matt: see ya bb!

Charlie set her alarm to 6:30am and took a quick nap.

6:31am, she woke up for her nap. Her got up from her bed and went to take a quick shower. She puts on an oversized sweater and a pair of ripped jeans with black boots. She said goodbye to her cat and went outside to wait for Matt. She opens her phone and saw New messages from Alissa    

Alissa: hey babiegirl! Heeard u r taking a day off today for ur bday tomorrow, hope u enjoy ur day today!
Alissa: also Tess wanted to say hi,

Alissa has always cared for me, she never misses a day without telling me how much I worth. I hope she finds a good man or woman who can take care of her.

Me: Heya Al, yeah I'm on a day off today, had to. I'm too lazy to go to work. Also say hey back to Tes for me
Alissa: no probs girlie, have fun!

6:57am, Matt arrived at the apartment, "hey, Angel" Matt said, probably to flutter Charlie "Shut up, Matthew" Charlie replied "hey now, remember what I said about calling me that upfront?" Matt said. Matt's real name is Matthew Onelle but he likes people calling him Matt, he refrains from using his full real name except for job applications. "Heh, sorry, Matty. Where are we going again?" Charlie apologised "yeah it's fine, we're going to the park where we first met, I wanna gaze on your beautiful face there" Matt answered "shut the fuck up" Charlie replied, hiding her face.

7:07am, they are walking while holding hands at the park. Matt has bought ice-cream for Charlie. A lot of things has changed in the park lately, there's now a playground for kids. That wasn't there months ago. Charlie took out her phone to check Instagram. She was shocked when the first thing she sees is a post by Alissa.

She has a boyfriend now? Charlie never knew that, "hey uh did you know that Alissa has a boyfriend now?" Charlie questioned Matt, wondering if he does know. "Oh? Yeah,, well kinda, Maverick is my buddy, he said he's lucky to have a girl like her" Matt answered. So this Maverick guy is Matt's best friend, huh Charlie wondered to herself. "How long have they been together?" Charlie asked "1 month I think?" Matt replied. One whole fucking month and I don't know shit bout this relationship, what the fuck Al

7:34am, they finished their ice-creams earlier and decided to go hangout at Charlie's place. They both hop on Matt's bike and went home. They arrived at the apartment and went to Charlie's house. She unlocked the door and they came inside, after being greeted by Hannibal, that cat. "Let's binge-watch Netflix, heh" Matt said "yeah sure, let's watch Stranger Things and cry" Charlie replied.

What time is it Charlie asked herself. Holy goddamn it's already 4:37pm, how long have they been binge-watching Netflix. "Hey Matty, it's already 4 fucking pm, what the fuck are we doing with our lives?" Charlie said to Matt, trying not to sound sarcastic "shit you right, you right" Matt answered, sounding tired. "Can I stay here tonight?"
"I don't know ask Hannibal"
"hey catboi, can I stay here tonight?"
Hannibal only meowed at him, "I'll take that as a yes" Matt said, giggling. "Okay fatass, you're going to bathe now, you smell like shit" Charlie said, smiling like an idiot "okay, okay! Jeez" Matt huffed.

The time flew by again and it's already 7:12pm, they both were playing Smash Bros on Charlie's Nintedo Switch. "Why are you always winning as Bowser?! He's not THAT strong" exclaimed Matt, furiously, "hehe, I don't know, hehe--" Charlie replied "--maybe I'm just THAT good, hehe" she continued. They've been watching Netflix all day and playing video games for hours, they're not tried yet because they are still young. While they are playing on the Switch, they decided to open music. Charlie shuffled her music and it landed on 'Dead Mom' sang by Sophia Anne Caruso in Beetlejuice the Musical. This songs brings many memories of her and her mother, who passed away after she moved to NYC. Her father is still alive and well but he gets sick at times. She wishes that he's still okay and not get sick again. She's afraid.

8:00pm, "Bruh I'm fucking tired man" Matt said to Charlie while stretching his arms "yeah me too, wanna go to sleep?" she asked. "Yeeeess" he replied sounding even more sleepy. They both got up from their seats and went to Charlie's bedroom. She changed into a comfy outfit and flop herself onto her bed. Matt flops next to her and Hannibal, as usual jumps on the bed and sleep on their legs "heh, cute cat" Matt said before passing out "yeah" Charlie replied. They both fall asleep.
