Chapter 4- VanderVall Legacy

VanderVall Academy - October 16th 2017- 9 am

Kathryn's Thoughts( in head) -

I can feel their eyes staring at me, every single one of them like they have just seen for the first time the brand new iPhone and it amazes them. They look like a bunch of vultures who can't wait to eat me up. What if i don't amaze them though? I have been a failure my whole life, i have let mum and dad down so much times in the past who is saying i won't do it to him. They all look at me as if i look like some beauty princess well maybe i do but i'm not what they want or what the expect. I mean look at me here, this isn't me. Part of me thinks maybe this legacy won't be so bad after all. When i look at my dad I have never seen a smile like that since well never. My adoptive dad he loved me but he never looked at me like the way my dad is right now. I want , no i need to do what ever it takes to make him proud of me but the thing is i'm not perfect I'm far from it and i dread to see the day that they all realise it. I dread the day the find out about my past. 

Kathryn slowly walk down the great hall past the great long tables, to  her seat with her arm linked to Jesse's as he escorts her. 

"Here we are love" Jesse kisses Kathryn's cheek.

Kathryn places her bag on the floor along with her folder as Jesse holds her hand while she sits down. Jesse then sits down after Kathryn placing his books on the table.

"Thank god that is over and that you are here Alice "Kathryn says with a massive smile

" You seem like you are in a really good mood" Alice points out to her.

Justin stands up from his chair and Kathryn watches as a mass of heads turn to look at him as he gives his speech.

"Thank you all again for being here and on time considering half of you don't normally come to breakfast until later on or not at all. I hope you all enjoy your day and enjoy your breakfast, You may all dig in " Justin announces with a smile as he winks to Kathryn and Kathryn smiles and winks back at him.

"Thank god, I am starving" Kathryn says looking forward to digging into her food.

"They serve a pint of blood in each 3 meals. Most people don't even need to take the 3 pints a day because we have controlled it so well." Alice tells Kathryn

"It's some of the best" Jesse says while drinking it.

" There sure is a lot of people here, I didn't know there was so many students and teachers"Kathryn says shocked looking around her.

"Yeah it just gets bigger and bigger. We have the school for the little ones who can't control their magic or have died at a young age. Unfortunately the ones who were bitten under the age of twelve go some where else...What's your first class and at what time?" Alice asks her curious if they are in the same direction or not.

Kathryn grabs her folder and opens it to her timetable having not completely listened to what Alice was talking about. .

" I have English at ten  o'clock with Professor Marbella Cadwell" Kathryn answers her her  as she looks at her folder. 

" You're in luck, I happen to have that class too" Jesse states with a huge smile on his face

As time passes by Half of the people leave the hall for class when Kathryn notices three girls staring at them from another table then whisper to one another. Alice turns around and has a look at the girls.
