VanderVall Academy - Friday 8th December,2017- 12.34pm

Great Hall-

Dallas is sitting at the table in the great hall beside Danny and Ella, He stares down at his plate ignoring the conversation taking place by the group. Instead he thinks about the words he said to Kathryn during their training lesson, words he wonders if he should of even bothered to mention. He sits wondering why he would tell a girl about the details of his funeral and his family when he wouldn't even tell his best friend. For the past two days he's made small talk with everyone as he usually does but today was different, today he didn't say a word at all to anyone. It's not like no one spoke to him because they did he just didn't say a word back to them which isn't unusual. Sometimes he goes days without saying a word to his friends and even teachers, some days he just likes to keep himself to himself. That's what he used to do all the time, he would isolate himself away from people while he got his thoughts together because that was the only thing he knew how to do. Dallas drinks the rest of the blood from his glass then puts his hands on the table and pushes himself up off his chair and walks out the great hall pretending no one was around.

"i guess i'll see you soon" Kathryn says as he gets up off the chair and walks away.

He walks out the great hall and straight out the front doors of the academy, he contemplates going out into the woods for a walk but makes his way towards the front gates instead where he would go each night to kill all the vampires and werewolves who had betrayed them. Who turned their back on them and chose the side of their enemy. Who chose Ophelia over Justin and in his mind he didn't understand why someone would even consider doing that. Justin is one of the most loyal and respectful people that exists in the world, he cares for everyone in the school even if they are different and he would never turn a person away. So for those to betray him just didn't make sense to Dallas, what could she be offering that Justin couldn't give. He opens up the school gates and walks out closing them behind him, he can hear the rustling in the tears from the beasts that are willing to tear him apart but they are hesitant, like they are scared of him. Maybe all his hard work has been paying off recently. Maybe they are beginning to understand that they shouldn't mess with Justin or the school but they seemed so eager to fight before what changed. He walks towards the bar and swings it open, the bartender looks confused by the sight of him. He walks over and sits down and nods his head at the barman.

"Been a long time Dallas" Ross pipes up as he walks over as he dries a glass with a towel.

"It's been crazy out there, toke us a while to try and gain control over those at the gates and even then they are still out there" Dallas replies shrugging his shoulders.

"I appreciate the work you and your guys are doing, the bars just not quite been the same now that everyone is too scared to step off school property incase they get killed" Ross thanks him feeling grateful for all the school is doing.

"No worries mate" The side of Dallas mouth curls and he gives a little smile at him.

"The usual?" Ross asks as he goes to reach for a pint glass

"Nah, hit me with something stronger" Dallas shakes his head as he stares straight ahead at the mirror on the wall that shows his reflection.

Ross comes walking back over with a Jamiesons in his hand and hands it over to Dallas. Dallas hands over money and picks up the glass where he swirls the drink before taking a sip.

"Bad day huh?" Ross asks him as he leans on the wall at the back of the bar

"You could say something like that" He replies to him working his head around everything that is going on out there.
