Chapter 18- The Smell Of Death

VanderVall Academy- Saturday 18th November,2017- 10.13pm

Courtyard-

Kathryn walks back over to her friends with her phone in her hand after her phone call to her mother.

"You and Peyton no way" Ella blurts out in denial

"He could get any girl in this school" Zackery points out to them all.

"And you choose to sleep with my cousin" Jesse rolls his eyes thinking he did it on purpose

" I didn't sleep with her to get under your skin, If i wanted to do that all i had to do was mention Kathryn's name and it sends you off into a jealous rage" Dallas mocks him finding it funny how easily he can piss Jesse off. 

"I've got to go" Kathryn tells them all and gathers herself together. 

"Go where it's only 14 minutes past ten? " Ella asks her finding it strange that she would leave so early.Danny and Alice are spotted walking back over to the group.

"I'm going to Miami" Kathryn informs them as she puts her beer bottle on the ground

"What do you mean?" Dallas questions her sensing something isn't quite right

"Has someone had a little too much to drink, perhaps i should get you to your bed"Jesse pipes up taking the mick out of her. 

"No i haven't had too much to drink" Kathryn bites at him getting annoyed.

"No wonder you don't drink if you get drunk this easily"Jesse jokes to her not realising he is pushing it.

"I have to go see my parents In Miami, Something is wrong and someone is coming after them. They said they have to tell me something extremely important before it's too late " Kathryn informs them before walking away.

Ella and Zackery look at each other not sure what to think of the situations. Jesse just sits on the seat and laughs thinking she is only joking while Dallas get up and goes running after her.

"You need to tell your dad" Dallas tells her

"That's exactly where i was going" Kathryn says before speeding up her walk.

Dallas watches her walk away then looks back at the group. Kathryn runs up to her room after attempting to find her dad at which she couldn't find him. She throws some things into a go bag and writes him a note leaving it in his office. She walks out of the office still in her party outfit and walks to the garage with her go bag in hand. She walks over to one of the Audi's and unlocks it. As she was about to get into the car she saw a reflection behind her and turned around, Stood in front of the peugeot 5008 7 seater suv.

"You didn't think we were going to let you go alone did you? Ella asks her with a smile

"Thought you all just thought i was drunk?" Kathryn quotes Jesse words with bitterness. 

Kathryn puts the keys of the Audi into the car instead of going all the way back inside and walks over to her friends.

"Keys?" Kathryn wonders as she looks at them all

"I'm driving" Zackery slurs his words as he takes the keys out of his pocket.

"You all are borderline drunk, Me on the other hand not so much" Kathryn takes the keys from Zackery and walks towards the boot placing her go back in it with all the others.
