(This is a Zazzalil X Reader. I know yall love Jazzalil, but cut me some slack, Zazz is amazing.)

As I lay in my bed that night, all I could hear was the apartment above me, who, for god only knows what reason, had held its 5th Sunday night party in a row.

I held my pillow to ears. I couldn't tell if I was trying to suffocate myself or trying to go sleep. The first option was starting to seem reasonable as the base above was turned up.

I knew I had to take a stand when I saw my alarm clock, set at 1:38 am, was slowly bouncing it's way off the nightstand.

I rolled my eyes and got out of bed. This was the last straw. I stepped out of my bedroom in nothing but a black tank top and basketball shorts, a look of death plastered on my face. I was tired of loosing sleep. I was tired in general.

As I made my way up to the floor above me, I could still hear the party. "Jesus how have these people not been reported yet??" I muttered to myself, though I could barely hear that over the music.

I stood in front of the door that blasted fuckin Hayley Kiyoko. Good taste in music, bad timing.

I banged on the door. It was surprising someone actually heard it and opened it. I opened my mouth to speak but was caught off guard by a small woman with a beautiful face.

She smiled, "Here to join? Come on in!" She yelled over Girls Like Girls. The woman ushered me inside before I could stop and explain myself.

"You're new! Who invited you? Was it Keeri? She has a shit ton of friends so I'm not surprised!" She laughed. God that laugh was so cute, I couldn't help but laugh along.

'No! Get your shit together! You came here for a reason, (Y/N)!' I reminded myself.

"Ah, actually I was wondering if I could speak to the host of this party?" I yelled back as she started to pour me a drink. She handed me what I could only assume was beer and poured herself some too.

She cocked an eyebrow, "That would be me." She said.

I widened my eyes, "oh well... um you see-" I quieted down before she interrupted me, "I can't here you! Let's go back outside" The small hostess lead me back outside to the hall way to drown out atleast a little sound.

"So you were saying?" She took a sip out of the red solo cup.

"Oh, well it's just- this is um- this is the 5th sunday night in a row that you guys have been partying so... late." She nodded, "And you see- I'm right below you... so it's kind of hard to... um... get sleep I- I guess..." all my confidence in telling whoever the host of this party was off was completely gone as I stared down at this cute little brunette.

She furrowed her eyebrows and put her hand on her hip, "So? We just wanna end the weekends with a bang."

"Well I think the bangs you're ending em with are just a little too loud."

"Oh whatever. We're tryin to have a good time!" She retorted.

"Jesus christ, my alarm clock was bouncing itself off the nightstand because your base you so loud! I'm just asking you to turn your base boosters down a little!" I pleaded to the hostess.

She held back a laugh, "Wait really? It was bouncing off your nightstand??" She snickered. I laughed a little too before replying, "Yeah, I'm sure it's on the ground by now." We both laughed a little. There was a silence between us for a second.

"Well," she started, smirking, "I suppose I could turn down the base booster a little if it means making a cute girl happy." I stopped for a second. Was she flirting with someone who literally just told her to turn her party down?

'I mean, if shes playing this game, I might as well join in' I thought before replying, "And I guess I could withstand the sound if it makes an equally cute girl happy too." Her cheeks flushed as she smiled a little, "I'm Zazzalil."

"(Y/N)." I smirked.

"I like it."

"I like yours too."

She took out her phone and, after pressing it a few times, handed it to me. It was on the New Contact page. I looked at her, one eyebrow raise, and entered my phone number into it.

"I'll call you sometime. Maybe we'll grab dinner or watch a movie, away from the blaring base boosters, huh?" She took her phone back and looked at me for an answer.

"I'd love that." I smiled down at this short hostess I now knew as the cute Zazzalil, "I'd really love that."

"Me too."
