"Can we just talk?"

"YOU MAY TAKE the rest of the evening off. You will not be needed for my last meeting, okay?" Taehyung looks at Jisoo, and nods for approval. She gave a thumbs up at him before returning back to work.
Jisoo was a bit confused, she had never seem him so out of place. Maybe the person he had a meeting with was intimidating, she didn't let the thought dangle over her head. She slowly removed herself from the desk chair and felt relief as she straightened out her back and heard a satisfying snap. Jisoo exhaled with glee, having to go home early was the best feeling for her.
She had no significant other waiting at home for her but Jisoo didn't care. She enjoyed being alone, there were times she wished there was someone caring about her but that's normal. She did not worry much about it because of her best friends, Jungkook and Chaeyoung. They were always by her side and that was all that mattered for Jisoo.
Glancing towards Taehyung's desk she sighed, she wanted to leave but her boss had left for a brief moment. Sucking the air in between her teeth she contemplates whether or not he would care that she left without saying goodbye. Jisoo rolled and whispered underneath her breathe,"Fuck it" before grabbing her packed bag and walking towards the exit.
She met Ah-Yeon,"Ah-Yeon-ssi, please tell Mr Kim that I left already." Ah-Yeon with a phone at her ear nodded at Jisoo, she grabbed a sticky note and wrote a reminder, Ah-Yeon removed the phone from her briefly to say goodbye to Jisoo and continued her conversation. Jisoo greeted back before making her way towards the elevator.
Jisoo was glowing with happiness, she couldn't wait to go home and watch dramas in her favourite pyjamas. She managed to haul a cab, she told the driver her address as she melted into the cold leather seats. She exhaled, happy that she can finally rest for once. Jisoo reached into her pocket for her phone only to find it empty. She did a double take. "I just had it. Where did it go?" Panic started to flow into her veins as she retraced her steps.
She faintly recalls sending Chaeyoung a message before putting the device. "No!" She yelled out, slightly scaring the driver. "The desk drawer!" Jisoo felt faint. Taehyung made is clear that he did not want her there. But my phone. He would surely fire her. But my phone.
Jisoo taps the drivers shoulder, luckily they hadn't gone far away from the building. "Would you mind turning back I missed something?" She asks, timidly. The driver exhaled slowly, second guessing if he should do it or not. "Look I'll pay for this ride and just order a new driver. Im so sorry." She pleads. He stares into her big, hopeful, eyes and caves in. "Alright." He sighs.
She lets out a breathe and thanks him over and over, whilst apologizing. He parks infront of the building, Jisoo paid for the drive and bid farewell (and apologized once more) before sprinting towards the enterance. She was certain the meeting should start in a few minutes and it was best to quickly get it over and done with.
Jisoo eventually makes it to the correct floor as she sees it empty. Huh? Ah-Yeon was not there either. She assumed he sent everyone home early. Jisoo shrugs as she realizes it is perfect to slip in and out without being noticed.
"Yah!"
Her heart jumped in her chest when she heard Taehyungs voice echoe through his office foor. Jisoo heard a muffled reply, much softer tone than his. She took the risk by slowly walking towards the door, trying not to make any loud footsteps.
A woman's voice, slowly replied. She could nkt quite hear her. Jisoo heard Taehyung sigh. "I told you, already. Not until the wedding."wedding? Jisoo had to cover her mouth from laughing. How did he manage to get someone to agree to marry him.
The woman sighed, "It has been a year, Adeul(Son). You can not hide her forever." The womans voice was soft, and airy. She spoke slowly but to slow that you'll lose interest in the conversation. The way she called out each word, made Jisoo want to place this woman in her pocket.
"I am not hiding her, Ma'am. I made it clear as to why-"
Taehyung was interrupted by the woman (who Jisoo assumed was his mother). "Yes, yes. I understand that. What I don't understand is why we can not meet at least once. Not even with her parents?"
"No."
Jisoo, completely intrigued by their conversation, had her ear pressed against the door. She did not hear the elevator door ring open. "Jisoo?!" Ah-Yeon yells out the hear, causing Jisoo to let out a small scream and falls to the floor. "Omo!" Shocked that she is not alone. Jisoo turns to Ah-Yeon tries to hush her.
"What is that Taehyung?" His mother asks, hearing the commotion outside his door. Taehyung felt his heeartbeat ringing in his ears. He abruptly stood up and rushed towards the door and pushes it open to find Jisoo.
He felt his heart stop for a second. "Jisoo?"
Jisoo stares at him, he looks shocked and stressed. "S-sir?" Footsteps echoed behind Taehyung, his mother peeks over his shoulder and stares at Jisoo. Her eyes light up,"Finally!"
