"You can feel it"
▵
THE NEXT DAY, Taehyung told Jisoo to not come to his house, skip breakfast and that she should just meet up with him at the office. Jisoo stares at the enterance while tightly clutching the brown envelope in her arms. She manages to muster up the courage to walk towards the tall building and into an elevator.
Making her way up to his office, she ignored a few morning greetings from other colleagues, too invested into practicing her lines she will be saying to her boss. Jisoo stops deadstill infront of the looming door with his name on it. She straightened her dress before taking a deep breathe, Jisoo made sure she dressed up really nice today to avoid the daily appearance insults, she started knocking on the door.
Taehyung's deep voice pounded through her chest,"Yes?"
"Mr Kim?" Her voice came out shaky. Taehyung removed his eyes from the paperwork on his desk and stared at the door. Anxiety slowly building up. He wasn't prepared for her to come into work today, Taehyung was praying she would have used one of her many sick leaves she had built up, to stay at home, but nonetheless he allows her to come in.
Jisoo opens the door and makes a line towards his desk. They make eye contact, both not saying a word. She adjusts the weight of the envelope in her arms causing Taehyung to break eye contact and focus on the object in her arms.
'Shit, he noticed it'
There was no turning back now, Jisoo practically throws down the heavy envelope onto his desk, it made the table shake a bit.
Taehyung stares at the brown brick and then back onto Jisoo. "Wha-"
Jisoo cuts him off by holding up her hand infront of his face. Her hands trembled a little. "Its a contract." She says, her voice a bit shaky.
His face went from being completely emotionless to looking extremely confused in a matter of seconds. "Excuse me?"
Jisoo repeats herself, "Its a contract."
Taehyung exhales, he closes his eyes as he tries to understand what is happening right in front of him. Jisoo's loud 'contract' made a little noise where employees stopped when walking by, curious about what is going on in Taehyung's office.
"I understand that part, what I don't understand is what it is for, Miss Kim."
Jisoo heard the whispers behind her back, "Wait—" She walked over to the office door (that was left open). She stuck her head out to see her colleagues stare at her, obviously gossiping about the situation. Jisoo gave them a stare, it was scary, the few colleagues that were outside the door felt as if Jisoo was scolding them. They all apologized before returning to their duties.
She sighed before closing the door infront of her, leaving Taehyung completely stunned. Jisoo did not say a word yet they knew exactly what she was saying at the same time. "— as I was saying."
Slowly walking towards his desk, she reached out for the one of the chairs placed infront of his desk, for visitors, Jisoo had never sat in these chairs before, so the action looked for awkward than anything.
